 Complete the quest Go, Geniemons!

Covert Commissions let you customize what kind of rewards you can get with the use of purchasable Secret Letters. Simply go to the Shop menu and buy Secret Letters of the character, weapon, or Demon Wedge that you want to obtain, and then select it before beginning the Covert Commission.

By the end of the commission, you can choose only one from three out of the six potential rewards. Do keep in mind that higher rarity drops are less likely to appear as selectable rewards, so be sure to plan out how many Secret Letters to purchase.

Prepare Characters with High AoE Damage

Duet Night Abyss AoE damage characters

During this commission, you will be barraged by enemy attacks from all sides. When tackling a high-leveled Defence ∞ or Defence commission, use characters and/or teammates with large area-of-effect (AoE) damage.

Find the Lunoxplorer

Duet Night Abyss Lunoxplorer location

Follow the yellow marker to navigate to the location of the Lunoxplorer and the Crystallo device. Enemies will not spawn until you reach them.

Go Near the Lunoxplorer to Spawn Enemy Waves

Duet Night Abyss Lunoxplorer

Once you go near the Lunoxplorer and the Crystallo device, a five-second countdown will start and then the first wave of enemies will start pouring in. Protect the Lunoxplorer and the Crystallo device from the enemy onslaught.

Clear Enemy Waves

Duet Night Abyss clear enemy waves

Clear enemy waves coming from all sides. Prioritize clearing the enemies that managed to get close to the Lunoxplorer and the Crystallo device. Use AoE skills to deal damage to as much enemies as you can.

Keep Track of Lunoxplorer's Health Bar

During the wave attacks, keep track of the health bar on the left side of the screen to monitor the Lunoxplorer and the Crystallod device's condition. Once it reaches zero, you lose the commission.

Keep Track of the Wave Counter

After each wave, there will be a brief five-second window before the next one begins. You can keep track of the number of waves through a counter on the left side of the screen at all times.

Retreat or Continue the Commission

Duet Night Abyss retreat or continue defence

Completing the required number of waves will finish the commission. On Defence ∞ commissions, you will be asked to retreat or continue for better rewards and stronger enemies.

Defence Noctoyager Manual commissions do not have this option, so you can select them again from the Combat menu to start the commission again.
