Covert Commissions let you customize what kind of rewards you can get with the use of purchasable Secret Letters. Simply go to the Shop menu and buy Secret Letters of the character, weapon, or Demon Wedge that you want to obtain, and then select it before beginning the Covert Commission.

By the end of the commission, you can choose only one from three out of the six potential rewards. Do keep in mind that higher rarity drops are less likely to appear as selectable rewards, so be sure to plan out how many Secret Letters to purchase.

Locate the Target

Duet Night Abyss capture target

Follow the red marker to go to the location of the target enemy. Snow will also give a hint on the type of enemy that you will need to capture at the beginning of the commission.

Intercept the Target Before Their Exit

The target enemy will be making their way towards an exit point. If they reach this exit point, you will fail the commission, so you need to locate them and prevent their escape.

Defeat the Target

Once you have located the enemy, defeat it by damaging its health down to zero. Bring teammates with you to quickly bring it, or any surrounding enemies, down.

Capture the Target

When defeated, the target enemy will be vulnerable for capture for 30 seconds. Hold the interact button for around 3 seconds to capture the enemy.

Keep in mind that you are vulnerable to damage while capturing the target. Make sure that you are in a secure position before attempting a capture. You can also proceed with capturing the target if you are confident that you won't get knocked out by the surrounding enemies.

Multiple Attempts to Recapture

If you failed to capture the target within 30 seconds, they will fully regain their health and continue making their way back to their exit point or fight you.

If this happens, you can take them down again and attempt another capture, as long as they do not make it to the exit point. Recapture can be done multiple times.

Go to the Evacuation Point

Once the target's been captured, a green marker pointing towards the Evacuation Point will appear on the screen. Follow the marker to navigate to the location to end the commission.
