Currently, there are six types of ranged weapons in Duet Night Abyss:
Each of these weapon types has its own form of attack, with Assault Rifles capable of firing multiple rounds at enemies from a distance, while Grenade Launchers deal area-of-effect (AoE) damage, making them good against groups of enemies.
Characters in the game also have weapon types they are good at using. For example, the Pyro character Margie is good at using Shotguns, so it is recommended to equip her with ranged weapons of that type.
While safer than melee combat, using a ranged weapon has a downside: the user must periodically reload, leaving them vulnerable to attack for a few seconds.
