Covert Commissions let you customize what kind of rewards you can get with the use of purchasable Secret Letters. Simply go to the Shop menu and buy Secret Letters of the character, weapon, or Demon Wedge that you want to obtain, and then select it before beginning the Covert Commission.

By the end of the commission, you can choose only one from three out of the six potential rewards. Do keep in mind that higher rarity drops are less likely to appear as selectable rewards, so be sure to plan out how many Secret Letters to purchase.

Locate the Target's Prison Cell

Follow the four yellow markers to find the potential locations of your target's prison cell.

Defeat Patrollers Before They Sound the Alarm

Enemy units called the Patrollers will be scattered throughout the map. They can be identified by a red exclamation marker and their red icons on the map.

Once a Patroller spots you, they will try to sound an alarm. It is recommended to defeat them before they get to sound the alarm as it will trigger a 60-second countdown that will fail the commission.

60-Second Countdown Starts

If a Patroller successfully sounds the alarm, a 60-second countdown will begin and require you to secure your target within the time limit.

If the countdown reaches zero, you will fail the commission.

Unlock the Cell Mechanism

To open a prison cell, go to the device panel in front of it and solve a puzzle to unlock the door.

Guess or Wait for 20 Seconds Left

Duet Night Abyss wait for snow to locate the target

When there are only 20 seconds left, Snow will claim to hear the target's screaming and will show you the correct prison cell location.

Try to guess the correct prison cell location within 35-40 seconds and then go somewhere that is near to all of the remaining cells before Snow reveals the correct one. Head to the remaining location to save your target.

Keep the Target Safe on the Way to the Evacuation Point

Head to the evacuation point by following the green marker on your screen to finish the commission. Keep the target safe from enemy attacks or the commission will fail.

You can jump over obstacles and take shortcuts as the target will keep up with you regardless of the terrain.
