・Consistent DMG from Summons ・Can cover several areas with Skill AoE ・Powerful Burst DMG on Ult |
Rebecca is the standout early-game character, who can be unlocked as soon as you have access to the Mailbox function. She can place down multiple summons that cover a wide area and consistently do damage, while also having access to large burst damage with her ult.
| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
・Consistent AoE Damage ・Enhanced Damage when Ulting |
・Provides on-demand Burst Healing ・Can also give Ammo and Damage Boosts ・Using Ult further increases support efficacy |
Lisbell is another great damage-oriented character to get and use early-game. When she uses her Ultimate skill, her AoE and Damage are significantly increased, allowing her to cut down early-game content with ease.
Truffle and Filbert, on the other hand, are more utility-focused. They are capable of burst healing through their skill, and can also provide Damage Boosts and Ammo drops with their kit.
| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
・AoE damage with her Spammable Skill ・Also has more sustained DPS with Ult ・Gains Hitstun Immunity in Ult |
・Provides consistent AoE Healing ・Further supports team with Buffs and Debuffs ・Own damage is relatively low |
・Stacking Fang Spikes can greatly boost damage ・Protects self with Ultra Shields and Hitstun Immunity ・Deals self-damage, which can be tricky to manage |
Berenica is the first character players use through the Prologue, and is a consistent DPS with her spammable skill and toggled ult. Outsider, on the other hand, is capable of bursts of damage, but has an HP-draining mechanic that can be hard to play around.
Lastly, Daphne has consistent healing on her Skill and Ult, while also providing a suite of buffs and debuffs with her kit. Her own damage might be low, but that matters less for her role as a support in early-game.

・Continuously improves damage with Jackpot stacks ・Outclassed by other available options |
Margie is acquired as soon as the player finishes the Prologue, and uses Jackpot stacks to get stronger as the mission goes on. She can do respectable damage, but is overall outclassed by other available DPS characters in the early-game.

The easiest way to obtain characters early is to claim any that have been made a Reward, either through Events or in the Mail. Rebecca and Berenica are examples of this, as both are claimable as soon as Mail is unlocked.
Unlocking characters normally will require some grinding, and can be difficult to do in the early game. It is recommended to use the freely-provided characters before starting to farm for character unlocks.
List of All Events and Schedule

Several characters will also be made available as rewards for playing through the main story quest. Margie, Outsider, Truffle and Filbert, and Daphne are all awarded for free by progressing through Chapter I story quests.

Lisbell is unlocked from the first six stages of the Mystic Maze mode, unlocked after completing the On a Gentle Breeze Story quest. She's a great character to have early so see if you can clear the first six stages of this game mode to get her Thoughts!
