This is a guide to saving your game in Shin Megami Tensei III HD Remaster (SMT Nocturne) for the Switch, PS4, and Steam! Read on to learn more about how to save your game and the new suspend save feature!

Unlike modern RPG titles, you can only save in Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne (SMT3) when you visit a save point called an Amala Drum. Part of a larger Amala Network, Amala Drums can be found in rooms that, when you enter, present players with the option to save their game.

How to Save Game

After finding an Amala Drum, simply choose the Save option on the menu to save your game! There are 20 save slots and there are decision making in the game so we highly suggest using multiple save slots so you can backtrack in case you made a wrong decision.

Save Using the New Suspend Save Feature

Suspend Save Prompt

The new suspend save feature allows players to generate what the game calls a Suspend Save. A Suspend Save simply preserves the last known position of the player once they exit the game. Take note that these save files are automatically removed once you reload it so only use it if you need to get off the game and not as a checkpoint file.
