Undersea Walkthrough: List of Pokemon and How to Unlock

This guide will cover all of the Pokemon that can be found in Undersea of Lental Seafloor in New Pokemon Snap (Pokemon Snap 2) for the Nintendo Switch, as well as how to unlock the level. Locations for all Pokemon in Undersea, as well as alternate routes, requests, crystabloom and ancient ruins locations can be found here!

How to Raise Your Research Level

Pokemon Locations

Pokemon	Where to Find
Finneon	Can be found at the start of the course. Another can be found in the seaweed area on the main route. A group can be found on the seaflooor on the first alternate route. It can also be found along with a Lumineon on the area after the cave in the alternate route.
Lumineon	A sleeping Lumineon can be found in the seaweed area on the main route. Another can be found defending some Finneon from a Sharpedo on the valley at the first alternate route. The Pokemon can also be found in the ruins area of the course. Look to your right to find it hiding in between a ruined pillar just before the exit point.
Magikarp	Can be found at the start of the course. Another can be found swimming below the Mantines after emerging from the cave on the first alternate route. Near the exit point on the main route, a Magikarp can be seen being grappled by a Frillish at Research Level 3. Another can be found next to the Crystabloom in Lugia's lair.
Luvdisc	Can be found at the start of the course. Another can be found in the seaweed area on the main route. A group can be found inside the caves on the main route. Two groups can be found near a Crystabloom as you ascend near the surface on the main route. It can also be found swimming away from the Wailord on the first alternate route.
Corsola	Can be found at the start of the course.
Octillery	An Octillery can be found sitting on a reef opposite of a Wailmer on the main route.
Pyukumuku	Pyukumuku sometimes appears in place of the Octillery at the main route. You may need to use Turbo to get its photo before Wailmer blows it away.
Wailmer	A Wailmer can be found along with an Octillery before descending down to the caves on the main path. A group of Wailmers can be found after emerging from the cave on the first alternate route. The Pokemon can also be found in the ruins area of the course.
Wailord	As you head into the seafloor after entering the first alternate route, wait for the group of Pokemon to swim upwards and a Wailord should to appear afterward.
Sharpedo	Sharpedo appears on the main path at Research Level 2. Another can be found after emerging from the on the first alternate route.
Qwilfish	A group of Qwilfish can be found while descending down to the cave on the main route. A group can also be found in the ruins area of the course.
Tentacruel	A Tentacruel can be found interacting with a Starmie inside the cave at the first alternate route. At Research Level 2, wait for the Neo-One to descend down to the seafloor on the first alternate route. Look for the group of three Tentacruels and throw an Illumina Orb at the male one. Once you head towards the ruins, throw an Illumina Orb at the Crystabloom for the Tentacruel to appear alongside a Frillish.
Mantine	A group can be found at the start of the course at Research Level 3. At Research Level 2, you can find a group swimming near the surface on the main route at the end of the course. At Research Level 2, you can find another swimming after emerging from the cave at the first alternate route.
Pelipper	A Pelipper be found at the start of the course at Research Level 2.
Cradily	A group of Cradily can be found in the seaweed area on the main route at Research Leve 2 or higher. Another can be found in the ruins area at the end of the course.
Clawitzer	Can be found moving from the beginning of the course to the first alternate route. Throw an Illumina Orb at it to destroy the rocks blocking the alternate route. Two Clawitzers fight inside the cave with the Qwilifsh at Research Level 2. Another can be found next to a sleeping Golisopod as you enter the ruins area of the course. A group can also be found swimming to the exit point.
Chinchou	A group of Chinchous can be found in holes on the cave at the first alternate route. You can find another sleeping next to a Lanturn inside Lugia's lair.
Frillish	A Frillish can be found in a small opening on the area where you descend down to the caves on the main route. Scan the area to see if its name appears and throw a Fluffruit at the small opening. A Frillish will emerge from the opening to eat the fruit. Two Frillish can be found as you descend down to the seafloor on the first alternate route. At Research Level 2, you can find a group of Frillish inside the ruins area of the course. At Research Level 3, a group of Frillish can be found at the cave on the main route.
Lanturn	A single Lanturn can be found similar in the area after the cave on the alternate route. This is the Pokemon that will lead you to the second alternate route at Lugia's Lair. Another can be found sleeping next to a Chinchou inside Lugia's lair. Another can be found in the ruins area of the course.
Clamperl	A group can be found hiding underneath the seafloor on the first alternate route.
Golisopod	A group of Golisopod can be found in the ruins area of the course.
Alomomola	Can be found at the start of the course. A group can be found swimming away from the Wailord on the first alternate route. At Reseach Level 3, a group can be found descending down to the cave on the main path. Throw a Fluffruit at it for the Pokemon to get caught by the Frillish.
Inkay	A group of Inkay can be found swimming inside the cave on the first alternate route.
Starmie	A Starmie can be found interacting with a Tentacruel in the cave after taking the first alternate route. At Research Level 3, a group can be found hiding beneath the seafloor on the first alternate route. Throw Illumina Orb for the Pokemon to emerge. After it emerges from the seafloor, throw an Illumina Orb at the Crystabloom in the ruins for the Pokemon to appear.
Squirtle	A Squirtle can be found in the seaweed area on the main route.
Lapras	At Research Level 3, a group of Lapras can be found swimming near the surface at the end of the course.
Lugia	Lugia can be found sleeping in its lair after taking the two alternate routes.

Undersea Alternate Routes

Braching Route 1 - Clawitzer Route

At Research Level 2, if you throw an Illumina Orb at the Clawitzer near the starting point, it will destroy the rocks leading to a cave.

At Reseach Level 3, you can simply run a scan to proceed through this route.

Alternate Route 2 - Lanturn Route

You can find another branching route just after passing the first one. You need to follow some steps in order to gain access to this route.

How to Unlock Alternate Route 2 - Lanturn Route

1		Head to the first Alternate Route.
2		Throw an Illumina Orb at the Lanturn after passing through the cave where Starmie is.
3		Turn towards the two Frillish and wait until Wailord appears.
4		Throw an Illumina Orb at the Lanturn to rescue it from the two Frillish.
5		Follow the Lanturn to enter this Alternate Route.

Undersea Crystablooms

Crystabloom	Where to Find
Crystabloom 1	You can find this Crystabloom on your right at the beginning of the course.
Crystabloom 2	Proceed through the main path and find the Lumineon sleeping on the ground. Throw a Fluffruit at it to move it away to reveal the Crystabloom.
Crystabloom 3	As you surface to the last area on the main path, look to your right to find a Crystabloom and two Luvdiscs.
Crystabloom 4	From the third Crystabloom, wait for the Neo-One to ascend and look to your left to find the Crystabloom along with four Luvdiscs.
Crystabloom 5	Enter the first alternate route and look to your left to find the Crystabloom after passing through the area with the Chinchous.
Crystabloom 6	As you exit the cave, look down to find the Lumineon and Finneon next to the Crystabloom.
Crystabloom 7	You can find this Crystabloom right beside the sleeping Lugia inside his lair.
Crystabloom 8	This Crystabloom can be found above the sleeping Lugia next to the Magikarp.
Crystabloom 9	You can find this Crystabloom on the ruins part of the course.

Undersea Ancient Ruins

Take the first Alternate Route of this course to head into the area leading to the seafloor. Near the end of the course, look to your left and find these Ancient Ruins with a Crystabloom on top.
