How to Clear Stirring Up Starmie

Take the Branching Route to the Underwater Ruins

In Undersea, Starmie can only be found in the branching route to the underwater ruins. Take the route via the cave entrance right before the seaweed patch. The request can only be done on research level 3, where the entrance to the alternate route is already cleared.

Locate Lumineon and Starmie

After descending the cavern, you'll see a few Lumineon swimming right above the sea floor. 2 Lumineon are swimming around Starmie that are hidden beneath the sand. Starmie's gem is visible above the sand, but if you're having trouble distinguishing it from a Clamperl, you could just use scan mode.

Throw Fluffruit at Lumineon or Starmie

Throw fluffruit at the hidden Starmie when the Lumineon is nearby, and the Lumineon will be lured towards it. If the Lumineon is a bit too far from the Starmie, you could also throw the fluffruit directly at the Lumineon for it to swim over to Starmie.

Make sure not to throw an Illumina orb at Starmie or it will just emerge on its own then swim away.

Snap a Photo of Lumineon

When the Lumineon arrives at the hidden Starmie, it will spin around, creating a gust of sand that will make Starmie pop out. Snap a photo at this moment. Keep in mind the main subject of the photo for the request is Lumineon, not Starmie.
