New Pokemon Snap - How Do Evolutions Work?

In the mainline Pokemon games, you can evolve Pokemon by leveling them up, using a specific item, or trading them to a friend.

The original N64 Pokemon Snap included this feature and requires you to follow some steps to evolve certain Pokemon that you find during your research. For example, if you throw a specific item at a Magikarp, it evolves into a Gyarados.

Can Pokemon Evolve in New Pokemon Snap?

You Cannot Evolve Pokemon in New Pokemon Snap

New Pokemon Snap - Squirtle and Blastoise
Unfortunately, New Pokemon Snap does not let you evolve any Pokemon. Despite this, you can find some Pokemon and their evolutions but often not the full evolutionary line.
