How to Take Qwilfish 1 Star Photo

Calmly Swimming

You can capture a 1 Star photo of Qwilfish in Research Level 2 of Undersea. Before entering the cave in the main route of the course, you can spot a Qwilfish calmly swimming towards the Wailmer near you. Take a photo of the Qwilfish as it calmly swims to get a 1 Star photo.

Use a fluffruit to puff up Qwilfish

In Undersea, you can throw fluffruit at the Qwilfish in the cavern on the main route. Doing so will cause them to puff up. Snap a photo of Qwilfish right after throwing the fluffruit at them in order to achieve the 2 Star photo.

How to Take Qwilfish 3 Star Photo

Use Melody to puff up Qwilfish

On research level 1 of Undersea, there will be 3 Qwilfish in the cavern on the main route. You can use the Melody player to puff them up. Snap a photo of Qwilfish right after it puffs up due to the Melody and you will be rewarded with the 3 Star photo.

Throw an Illumina orb at Qwilfish during the duel

On research level 3 of Undersea, you will encounter a Clawitzer right before the cavern on the main route. Throw an Illumina orb at it and it will rush inside and confront a Qwilfish.

Throw another Illumina orb this time at Qwilfish for it to blast the Clawitzer with a bunch of pin missiles. Don't worry if you accidentally hit the Clawitzer on the first go, as it will then move on to 3 more Qwilfish, which you could repeat the Illumina orb throw on. Snap a photo of Qwilfish's attack in order to achieve the 4 Star photo.
