In a pleasant surprise announcement, the Official Pokemon YouTube Channel posted this trailer which revealed three new areas coming to New Pokemon Snap. These areas, as well as 20 new Pokemon would be coming to the game on a free update scheduled for August 3, 2021.
On June 17, 2020, the Official Pokemon YouTube Channel held their Pokemon Presents presentation. One of the new titles revealed was the long-awaited sequel to the N64 Game, Pokemon Snap.
Seven months after the initial announcement, The Pokemon Company released a new trailer declaring the availability of pre-orders for New Pokemon Snap, as well as showcasing more of the gameplay and world.
As part of the Pokemon Company's 25th anniversary, a new trailer showcasing more of the game mechanics was unveiled on their YouTube channel. This trailer delves more into the new features players can expect from the game.
A few weeks before the game's release, Nintendo uploaded 2 short videos on their channel to promote the upcoming New Pokemon Snap game.
Two weeks prior to the game's release, an overview trailer for New Pokemon Snap was uploaded to Nintento's YouTube channel as a way to fully showcase what the game has to offer. This trailer has been the most extensive of all of the trailers so far, highlighting major features including the Illumina Phenomenon, the Photo Editor, and Online functionality.
About a week prior to the game's release, New Pokemon Snap was featured on Nintendo's YouTube channel where Kit and Krysta of Nintendo Minute play the first area of the game.
A day before release, Nintendo's YouTube channel showed off how Pokemon in the Lental region live in their natural habitats.
