Research Camp Walkthrough: List of Pokemon and How to Unlock

This guide will cover all of the Pokemon that can be found in Research Camp of Florio Nature Park in New Pokemon Snap (Pokemon Snap 2) for the Nintendo Switch, as well as how to unlock the level. Locations for all Pokemon in Research Camp, as well as alternate routes, requests, crystabloom and ancient ruins locations can be found here!

How to Raise Your Research Level

Pokemon Locations

Pokemon	Where to Find
Meowth	Starting on the Lab Side, Meowth can be found napping next to the NEO-ONEs. Starting on the Entrance Side, Meowth can be found in the second floor inside the lab. Throw Fluffruit to lure him out.
Stoutland	Starting on the Lab Side, Stoutland can be found next to the parked NEO-ONEs. Starting on the Entrance Side, Stoutland can be found napping in the Lab.
Starly	Starting on the Lab Side, two Starly can be found resting on the porch of the Lab. Starting on the Lab Side, some Starly are perched on the tree close to the tables near the lab. Starting on the Lab Side, a Starly will be drinking water from the trough after exiting the lab. Starting on the Lab Side, some Starly can be found perched atop the lab right before the course ends. Starting on the Entrance Side, some Starly can be found on and around the houses past the campfire. Starting on the Entrance Side, a Starly can be found on top of the lamp post next to the Crystabloom.
Rattata	Starting on the Lab Side, you can lead Meowth to under the Lab's porch for him to chase out the Rattata sleeping beneath. Starting on the Entrance Side, Rattata can be found next to the campfire with Trubbish.
Audino	Starting on the Lab Side, Audino can be found in the lab. Starting on the Entrance Side, Audino can be found near the water trough.
Dedenne	Starting on the Lab Side, Dedenne can be found in the lab. Starting on the Entrance Side, Dedenne can be found napping on one of the parked NEO-ONEs.
Trubbish	Starting on the Lab Side, Trubbish can be found on one of the outdoor tables with Eevee. Starting on the Lab Side, another Trubbish can be found under Professor Mirror's computer desk in the lab. Starting on the Entrance Side, Trubbish can be found next to the campfire with Rattata.
Eevee	Starting on the Lab Side, Eevee can be found on one of the outdoor tables with Trubbish. Starting on the Entrance Side, Eevee can be found sleeping with Stoutland in the lab.
Pikachu	Starting on the Lab Side, Pikachu can be found walking near the Crystabloom next to the water trough. Starting on the Entrance Side, Pikachu can be found in the middle of the camp with Bunnelby.
Cutiefly	Starting on the Lab side, some Cutiefly can be found in the flower patches as you approach the campfire. Starting on the Entrance side, a Cutiefly can be found in the flower patches near the porch of the lab. Starting on the Entrance side, three Cutiefly can be found behind the TV in the lab. They will come out after you scan in the lab. Starting on the Entrance side, a Cutiefly can be found in the flower field near the tree stumps near the end of the course.
Sudowoodo	Starting on the Lab side, Sudowoodo can be found near the entrance. Starting on the Entrance side, Sudowoodo can be found near the Crystabloom by the campfire.
Bunnelby	Starting on the Lab side, Bunnelby will be playing near or in the holes close to the houses. Starting on the Entrance Side, Bunnelby can be found in the middle of the camp with Pikachu.
Vivillon	Starting on the Lab Side, Fancy-Pattern Vivillon will appear above a tree near the houses. This happens after you throw Fluffruit at the Starly in the tree next to the tables. Starting on the Entrance Side, wake up the Dedenne sleeping on the NEO-ONE. Lead him to the bushes in the back to reveal a Poke-Ball Pattern Vivillon.

Research Camp Alternate Routes

Alternate Route 1 - Into the Lab

As you approach the lab from either starting point, scanning will bring up the option for you to take a short detour through the lab. Keep in mind that depending on your starting point, the Pokemon inside will be different.

Choose Between Two Starting Points in Research Camp

When you first unlock research camp, you will start the course near a tree next to the lab and the NEO-ONEs. However, later-on in the game, you can actually unlock a second starting point where you'll start over by the Entrance instead. The distribution of the Pokemon are different depending on which side you start on.

How to Choose Research Camp Starting Point

To select your starting point, you simply have to observe the background presented in the Research Camp main screen. If it features the campsite, you'll be starting at the Entrance of the Research Camp. Conversely, if you see the Lab in the background, you'll be starting on the Lab-side.

If the current background is not the spot you wanted to start on, simply enter the Lab Menu, then exit back to the Research Camp Menu. The background alternates between the two so it shouldn't be too difficult to switch between your choices.

Retrying does not change the starting point

Note that selecting Retry from the pause menu only brings you back at the beginning of the course and does not change the starting point.

Borrowing Bravery Research Lv. 1	When starting from the Entrance side of the Research Camp, you'll find Sudowoodo next to the fire pit. Throw Illumina Orbs at the Crystabloom next to him, and he'll glow as he dances away. Borrowing Bravery Walkthrough
