This guide will cover all of the Pokemon that can be found in Volcano of Fireflow Volcano in New Pokemon Snap (Pokemon Snap 2) for the Nintendo Switch, as well as how to unlock the level. Locations for all Pokemon in Volcano, as well as alternate routes, requests, crystabloom and ancient ruins locations can be found here!

How to Unlock	Unlocked after reaching Research Level 2 in Sands (Night) and in Undersea.

How to Raise Your Research Level

Pokemon	Where to Find
Minimum Research Level 1
Altaria	As soon as the course starts, Altaria may be found right behind you and flying in the hot spring to your left. As you move past the hot springs, more Altaria can be found to your right, just before a Tyrantrum rushes out.
Luxray	As the course starts, a pair of Luxray will approach the hot spring, scaring away some Altaria. As you enter the volcano, another Luxray may be found in it taking a nap. On higher research levels it may be awake monitoring the area. From Research Level 2, Luxray may be found on one of the ledges above the exit of the alternate path. From Research Level 3, if the Shinx is reunited with Luxray, throw a Fluffruit at the Tyrantrum chasing after the Archeops past the hot springs. Tyrantrum will redirect it's outrage at you, but Luxray will intervene, with Shinx close by.
Archeops	May be found flying above the hot spring area. May be spotted in the distance to the left of the entrance of the volcano. May be found loitering right by the entrance of the volcano. May also be found as you enter the lava chamber of the volcano. From Research Level 3, Archeops may also be found flying in the final chamber of the alternate path.
Monferno	As you descend from the hot springs and move on the path to the volcano, a Monferno will jump down from above. Several may be found taunting a Tyrantrum right by the entrance of the volcano. Another Monferno is found immediately to your right as you enter the volcano. From Research Level 2, when taking the alternate path, a Monferno can be seen jumping across the top of a volcano. From Research Level 3, Monferno may also be found playing with Torkoal in the lava chamber on the main path. From Research Level 3, Monferno may also be found climbing the walls on the final chamber of the alternate path.
Aerodactyl	May be found flying overhead outside of the Volcano. From Research Level 2, another may be found flying inside the volcano, right as you enter. From Research Level 2, another may be found flying in the final chamber of the alternate path.
Tyrantrum	A Tyrantrum may be found rushing out of the Volcano right before you enter it. From Research Level 2, more Tyrantrum can be spotted sleeping inside the first chamber of the volcano. From Research Level 3 another Tyrantrum can be found in the lava chamber along the main path.
Graveler	May be found on the sides of the inside of the Volcano. From Research Level 2 several Graveler will roll in from behind you as you descend from the hot springs. From Research Level 2, may be found hanging near the lip of an overhead opening above some molten rock. From Research Level 2 may be found in the blue lava chamber of the alternate path. From Research Level 3 may be found in the lava chamber on the main path.
Slugma	Though a bit hard to spot, several may be found in the lava chamber on the main path. Some might even be in the lava. From Research Level 2 more Slugma may be found in the blue lava room in the alternate path. From Research Level 2 Slugma may be found in the lava of the final chamber of the alternate path.
Charmander	Can be found playing in the lava chamber on the main path. From Research Level 2, Charmander may be found playing nearby the Crystabloom outside of the entrance to the volcano. From Research Level 2, Charmander may be found playing on molten rock just before the blue lava room in the alternate path. From Research Level 2 more Charmander may be found in the blue lava room in the alternate path. From Research Level 3 a Charmander may be found to your right as soon as you start the course.
Minimum Research Level 2
Shinx	Can be found near the start of the course by the hot springs. Can be found in the blue lava room on the alternate path after waking a nearby Flareon. From Research Level 3, a Shinx may be found in the first chamber of the volcano. From Research Level 3, a lost Shinx may be reunited with it's Luxray at the start of the course as part of the Little Lost Shinx request. Reuniting these two will allow for more Shinx appearances later on in the course. From Research Level 3, if the Shinx is reunited with Luxray, throw a Fluffruit at the Tyrantrum chasing after the Archeops past the hot springs. Tyrantrum will redirect it's outrage at you, but Luxray will intervene, with Shinx close by. From Research Level 3, if the Shinx is reunited with Luxray, Shinx may reappear at the end of the alternate path, climbing the ledges upwards with Luxray.
Talonflame	Will fly in from your right near the start of the course. Can be spotted at a distance near the first Crystabloom. From Research Level 3, a Talonflame may also be found perched on the inside of the first chamber of the volcano.
Torkoal	May be found in the blue lava room. From Research Level 3, may also be found in the last chamber of the main path.
Typhlosion	May be found near the end of the course on the alternate path. From Research Level 3, Typhlosion may also be found on top of the rocks overlooking the hot spring.If you throw a Fluffruit and an Illumina Orb at it, he will reappear on the other side. From Research Level 3, if you were able to hit it with a Fluffruit and Illumina Orb while overlooking the hot springs, he will reappear on the other side overlooking the path to the volcano.
Ho-Oh Postgame Only	Ho-Oh spawns in randomly on 3 different points in the sky when the level starts, if Ho-oh doesn't appear where you want him to, you may just retry the course. The first part he is visible from is from a view to the right of the course as soon as it starts. The second place Ho-oh may spawn in from is past the hot springs. Look behind you and keep an eye on the right hand side of the sky. Ho-oh may be seen flying in from this direction. The final place Ho-oh may spawn in from is from a view between the second Crystabloom and the nearby rocks. When taking the alternate path, there are three spots where Rainbow Feathers may be found. The three Rainbow feathers can be found on a wall to your left before you enter the blue lava room, beneath a Torkoal to the right in the blue lava room, and near a central pillar in the blue lava room. You'll want to illuminate all three so that Ho-oh will appear in the final chamber of the alternate path. From Research Level 3, Ho-oh may also be found flying above the view visible from before the blue lava room.
Minimum Research Level 3
Flareon	May be found in the blue lava room. May be found on the ledges above the final chamber of the alternate path. May be found in the final chamber of the main path.
Charizard	May be found in the final chamber of the main path. In the room before the blue lava room, throw Illumina orbs at the two Charmander on the molten rock, before throwing a Fluffruit at a Graveler overhead. When the Graveler drops a Charizard appears. You'll find three Charmander outside of the volcano that need to be illuminated to let the Charizard appear in the final chamber of the alternate path. The three Charmander can be found: to your right as the course starts, next to the second Crystabloom, and right above the entrance to the volcano. If you do this, repeat the steps on how to reveal the Charizard before the blue lava room, then the Charizard will fly towards the final chamber.
Vivillon	High Plains pattern Viviilon may be spotted overhead after throwing an Illumina Orb at the Luxray in the final chamber of the alternate path. You may also opt to feed the Typhlosion in this room, and as they run off, the Vivillon will enter the chamber from the Ancient Ruins.

3,000-Degree Flames Research Lv. 3	Take the right path through the volcano. Make the Flareon come to the center by throwing a fluffruit at one or an illumina orb at the crystabloom, then feed it a fluffruit. Volcano Crystablooms

Crystabloom	Where to Find
Crystabloom 1	As you go down past the hot springs, a Crystabloom can be spotted in the distance to your left.
Crystabloom 2	Just opposite Crystabloom 1, another Crystabloom can be found in an elevated spot between rock crevices.
Crystabloom 3	When entering the lava chamber on the main path, this Crystabloom can be found above an overhang with the lavafall.
Crystabloom 4	On the alternate path, this crystabloom can be found behind a pillar in the blue lava chamber.

Start this course at Research Level 2. Proceed through the level and find the ancient ruins at the end of the course.

Make sure to hit the Tyrantrum when it first appears, while it's on the left side of the area and actively chasing the Archeops. If you hit it once it's stopped on the right side, it'll still get mad at you, but Luxray and Shinx won't show up.

how do you get Luxray to come to your rescue against the Tyrantrum in the hot springs area? I've done exactly what the guide says and it won't show up
