The Main Quest is the first PvE content Gundam UCE players will play with. When playing the Main Quest, most UR rarity mobile suits should work just fine, but to clear Main Quest missions efficiently (and to get as many Diamonds as you can from them), some units are better at their roles than others.
This is why we ranked UR mobile suits in the game according to how fast they can help with clearing Main Quests, how they can synergize with other mobile suits, and whether or not using them comes with drawbacks or caveats.
![]() |
These mobile suits can clear main quest missions quickly and be the backbone of your teams. This MS not only excels at its intended role but can also effectively deal with mobile suits that have a type advantage over it. |
---|---|
![]() |
Powerful mobile suits that are not as essential as SS-tiered ones but are still a boon if you have them. These MSs excel at their intended role, and may also be relied upon to defend themselves against enemies with type advantages against them. |
![]() |
Though not as powerful or as useful as SS- and S-tier mobile suits, these mobile suits still offer great utility especially if you have the other mobile suits they need to work effectively. However, these MSs may or may not have one or two drawbacks that make them less useful compared to mobile suits in higher tiers. |
![]() |
Average damage and utility. Use when you lack mobile suits in this role from higher tiers. Recommended to switch to higher-tier units when able. |
![]() |
Below average damage and utility, or its EX Skill is not as damaging or as useful as those in higher tiers. Use of these units for this particular role is not recommended. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The Purple Sazabi is a lot like the Yellow Sazabi, though it's less dominant and less survivable without the lifesteal. In exchange, it’s got some added utility in the form of stunning, both on attack and on EX skill. • Its damage output and utility make it the best Raid unit in the game for PvE, though Raid units are considered by many as the weakest category of mobile suits. Compared to the other SS-tier picks in other categories, this one is arguably the least impactful. |
![]() | • A powerful mobile suit in its own right in PvE, the Banshee Norn (NT-D) is capable of not only dealing massive amounts of damage, but also granting itself Absolute Evade status for 10 seconds whenever it uses its EX Skill, allowing it to deal damage with impunity to enemy units. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The Sinanju Stein has the potential to be a potent attacker and debuffer, since its EX Skill inflicts the enemy it hits with 49% more damage taken, as well as an evasion debuff. It also gets a 50% critical rate buff. • However, it suffers drawbacks similar to other mobile suits that get critical rate buffs: relatively weak armor, making them easy to take out unless they take out their enemies first. • When using it in battle, deploy it near your enemy's Generic mobile suits so it does not waste precious time traveling across the battlefield to its targets. |
![]() | • A deadly melee-focused Raid unit that stuns its target and raises the damage of its entire team with its EX Skill. Becomes deadlier when transcended as it can restore its own HP with the damage it deals to enemies, on top of ramping Evasion and Beam Damage buffs. |
![]() | • Could be a good counter to Blue-type units because of the up to 1200% damage it can deal with its EX Skill on top of a 10-second "Unavoidable" debuff. This makes it very useful in stages where you face nothing but Blue-type enemies. |
![]() | • If you are facing units like the Gundam Zeta or any other Yellow-type unit, the Varguil (Gundam Head) can counter it because of its anti-Yellow unit specialization. Its EX Skill deals extra damage to Yellow-type mobile suits and stuns them for 7 seconds. This is very useful, making it almost S-tier, when fighting in stages with all-Yellow enemy teams. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The Hi-Nu is an alright raid unit if you can build it. However, since it doesn't have any self-buffs for its ATK, Critical Rate, and Evasion, you'll need to invest fully in it and equip it with the right modules. • At full investment, the Hi-Nu gets an accuracy buff, 5 seconds of absolute evasion upon activating its EX Skill on top of a 20-second 50% evasion buff. It also gets a beam weapon damage buff. |
![]() | • When fully invested in, the Sinanju's Evasion and Critical Rate buffs make it a deadly Raid unit in battle. • When their EX Skill gets activated, the unit gets another 50% Critical Rate Buff for 20 seconds on top of an ATK buff, which gives it the ability to smash through enemies unfortunate enough to be too close. • However, when not fully transcended, the Sinanju needs modules that boost its Critical Rate. Otherwise, it's a Raid unit that is too easily defeated to be useful. |
![]() | • The Hyaku-Shiki's main attraction is its ability to inflict the "Unavoidable" debuff on its enemies with its EX Skill. Not only does this stop the enemy from dodging attacks for six seconds, but certain mobile suits do extra damage or debuffs to enemies with this debuff. • The Hyaku-Shiki's drawback is that it gets a DEF debuff for 20 seconds after using its EX Skill, making it more vulnerable to counterattacks. Also, you won't really need Unavoidable for PvE unless you've got other units that can take advantage of it like the Hamma Hamma and the Qubeley. |
![]() | • The best thing about the Banshee (NT-D) is its ability to sustain itself in battle. Even at low investment, the Banshee (NT-D) gives itself an ATK buff on top of a self-heal that restores around half its HP. • At full investment, the Banshee (NT-D) gets to absorb HP, which means the more damage it deals to enemies, the more of its HP is restored, on top of a Max HP buff. Having this unit at T5P5 along with the right pilot will make it a tanky DPS powerhouse. |
![]() | • Though the Nightingale can be easily damaged just like the Sinanju, it is a deadly unit because of its EX Skill's AOE ability, as well as the damage buffs it grants to allies. • At full investment, it deals devastating melee attacks with its Beam Tomahawk due to its proximity damage buff. |
![]() | • A potential executioner who can move fast around the battlefield Matsunaga's High Mobility Zaku II needs good modules at low investment and becomes a decent unit at full investment. • Fully investing in Matsunaga's High Mobility Zaku II gives it a 25% evasion buff, a 50% movement speed buff at the start of the battle, and the Strong Giant Bazooka attack. |
![]() | • The Byarlant Custom is a pretty straightforward Raid mobile suit focused on accuracy. Its damage output lacks quite a bit, though it can reach up to 75% accuracy when fully built. It also benefits from 66% evasion, though only when its HP falls below 40% HP. |
![]() | • While the Berga-Dalas itself isn't that big of a damage dealer, it's a good support unit to have for other, more powerful Raid units because its EX Skill gives them a 25% beam damage buff for 20 seconds. If they're also in the "High Mobility" category, they also get a 25% critical rate buff. • At full investment, the Berga-Dalas gets an evasion buff as well as beam damage buffs that stack based on whether it evades an attack or not. |
![]() | • Another raid unit with a non-damaging EX Skill that can act as a support, Ple's Qubeley Mk-II makes all its enemies vulnerable to beam-based weapons, as well as buff the beam weapon damage of its allies for 20 seconds. • Great to pair with heavy hitters that mainly deal beam damage such as the Yellow Sazabi. |
![]() | • A good starting raid unit because of its EX Skill, which deals a 7-second stun against anyone unlucky enough to get hit by it. • Char's Zaku II also gets movement speed and projectile damage buffs every time it gets to evade, which stacks up to five times. |
![]() | • Similar to the Banshee (NT-D), the Banshee is a capable Raid unit that can sustain itself with the healing it gets from its EX-Skill. |
![]() | •The Gundam Mk-II (Titans)'s EX Skill makes an enemy more vulnerable to beam weapons for 20 seconds. This makes it another good unit that's great to pair with other heavy hitters that use beam weapons. However, it is limited by having only one melee weapon.. |
![]() | • Blue Destiny Unit-1's utility is limited because it specializes in taking down mobile suits with the "Newtype Machine" category. Its EX Skill deals massive damage to Newtype Machine-category units, while also giving it accuracy and beam damage buffs. |
![]() | • The Narrative Gundam deals decent damage with its EX Skill and can give ATK buffs to its allies. However, the problem is that this buff is only limited to Red-type mobile suit allies. • Still, if you come across stages on the Main Quest where you will face off against all-Green teams, the Narrative Gundam will be able to shine because of its buffs for Red-type allies. |
![]() | • A glass cannon that can deal heavy damage with its Beam Rifle, though it is reliant on Evasion to avoid damage. When transcended, it unlocks a 50% Evasion boost that lasts for 30 seconds from the start of the battle and a buff to its beam damage. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Gundam (THE ORIGIN)'s EX Skill inflicts the 'unavoidable' debuff on its target. This means, for 8 seconds, an enemy won't be able to evade any attacks, making them easy to wallop with the Gundam's melee strikes. • However, it only has a 25% Evasion buff, and its Beam Damage and Beam Damage resistance buffs only kick in when it either takes damage or manages to evade respectively. |
![]() | • The Engage Zero with Booster is similar to the Hyaku Shiki and the Gundam (THE ORIGIN) in that it can inflict the "unavoidable", but has little else to differentiate it from those mobile suits. • When fully invested, the Engage Zero with Booster gets an evasion buff, a fixed beam damage buff, and another beam damage buff that stacks whenever the Engage Zero manages to successfully evade. |
![]() | • The Kampfer High Mobility Type can be useful against enemies that have the "Gundam-Type" category, with its additional ATK buff whenever it activates its EX Skill. It also has two melee weapons, making it a decent Raid melee fighter. • But outside of that niche, it doesn't do anything that other raid units can with better damage and survivability. |
![]() | • This Gundam is less useful than the Gundam (THE ORIGIN) simply because it lacks the latter's "Unavoidable" debuff. Still, it is very useful to use against all Red teams in the Main Quest. |
![]() | • Just like the Narrative Gundam, the Engage Gundam Booster can buff the damage of its allies, but only those with the "Gundam-Type" unit category. If you are not using that many Gundam-type units in your team in the first place, this buff will be of limited use to you. But if you are, then you should be able to get some mileage out of this unit up until you start assembling meta teams for PvP. |
![]() | • Can be useful in PvE when you don't have other units to stun enemies with. Otherwise, it's held back by its low DEF and lack of movement speed buffs that allow it to take full advantage of its melee attacks. • It has a terrain disadvantage in Space, and while that's very common among PvE stages, it doesn't matter too much since its main job is to stun and not deal damage. |
![]() | • The Messala isn't very good in PvP, but it can come in handy in PvE where opposing units are all scattered and vulnerable to getting countered. The Messala can instantly blast a unit it counters with its EX Skill, quickly taking it out of the fight while enjoying up to a 142% ranged sense bonus. It has 7 stacks of absolute evasion as well, while also having good evasion outside of that. Its downside lies in it being another one of those Raid units with just 1 melee weapon. It's also pretty bad without Transcending and unleashing its potential, as it won't have much evasion and it won't deal as much damage with its EX Skill. |
![]() | • A decent and well-rounded PvE welfare unit, the Qubeley's problem isn't that it's bad, but it's overshadowed by plenty of better Red-type raid units like the Banshee, Char's Zaku II, Narrative Gundam, and Kshatriya. It can definitely still find some value though, given its good damage and evasion. |
![]() | • The Gundam EX is a mobile suit that can use its high damage EX skill right when the battle begins, and can spam its EX skill as well given its high evasion and 5% EX gauge gain on evade. • What really limits the Gundam EX's value is its terrain disadvantage, making it terrible in Space maps, which are very common throughout PvE stages. It also needs crazy high investments to perform well, though you'll likely want to spend your resources on a stronger unit. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The problem with this MS is it can die rather easily in battle, and its Transcendent Skill (at full investment) only gives an accuracy and damage boost, not an evasion boost or a boost to another skill that could increase its survivability. |
![]() | • Raid mobile suit that specializes in damaging "High Mobility" mobile suits, though it needs to be transcended in order to get an additional 70% beam damage buff that maximizes its damage against them. Also, it has a 25% evasion buff that only comes when it's transcended, despite the fact that it's a Raid unit that's easy enough for other units to kill. • Harshly limited by only having one melee weapon, which means its movement speed buff won't matter much in battle. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • One of the highest DPS units and the best bruiser in the game so far, the "Yellow Sazabi" is capable of taking down highly evasive mobile suits with its Bullseye buff while dealing huge amounts of damage. It can also take care of itself in a fight as it heals back up to 66% of the damage it deals as HP. |
![]() | • Without having to worry about facing threatening units like the Zeong and Char's Z'Gok, the Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) is a powerhouse for clearing the Main Quest with its Hyper Awaken ability granting it the Bullseye status (its attacks will not miss for 10 minutes), and the high damage it deals with its EX Skill. |
![]() | • The Awakened Magna Martell is arguably the most impactful unit in the Generic Tier List's SS tier. It's extremely tanky thanks to its permanent Absolute Evade buff, it hits hard, and it's also the best debuffer in the game by a good margin. It can fill multiple roles all at once. |
![]() | • An extremely high damage crit-based attacker, the PF NT-D prevents enemies from healing with its EX skill, while enjoying increased critical rate against enemies with this debuff. It's especially useful against Psycho-Frame Type units, as it jams them for the first 18 seconds of combat, and benefits from increased critical ATK and accuracy against Jammed enemies. Critical strikes also heal this unit for a flat amount of HP, greatly boosting its survivability. • The PF NT-D cannot jam by itself, so to get the most out of it, pair it with a mobile suit that could inflict Jamming for it. |
![]() | • For the same reasons it is great in PvP, the V2A's ability to benefit from Perfect Guard, a potent single-target heal, team-wide EX damage resistance buffs, and ramping evasion and beam damage buffs automatically make this unit an SS-tier pick. • It’s already firmly established itself as one of the best mobile suits in the game, but its value may rise even more as a healer once the next generation of extremely durable Armored units comes along. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The Zeta Gundam is a melee powerhouse with its EX Skill capable of bypassing the defense of enemy mobile suits afflicted with the "Unavoidable," debuff, making it perfect to pair with mobile suits like the Hyaku-Shiki. • However, there are mobile suits made specifically to counter the Zeta and other "Newtype Machine" mobile suits like the Blue Destiny Unit-1, limiting the Zeta's usefulness somewhat. |
![]() | • The Sazabi's EX Skill makes it target the enemy with the highest HP, making it useful to whittle down tanky foes. It also makes that particular unit take 60% more beam damage for 20 seconds. If you happen to be running a team of Blue-type mobile suits, the Sazabi will also give its allies a damage buff. |
![]() | • The Gundam GP04 is a medium-range attacker that should keep its distance from the main fight, only attacking with its long-range rifle. • Its EX Skill targets the enemy with the highest HP and makes them take 50% more damage from beam weapons for 20 seconds, allowing your allies to pile on more damage. • At full transcendence, it gets accuracy and beam damage buffs, but not much else. |
![]() | • The Full Armor Unicorn Gundam may be a Generic type, but the buffs it grants to allies make it suitable for a defensive playstyle. Its EX Skill increases the beam and projectile damage resistance of its allies by 30% for 20 seconds. • It shines much better as a unit when fully transcended, as it gains a 5.8% beam damage buff every time it deals damage, which is stackable up to 10 times. |
![]() | • The Qubeley is a very popular unit, and for good reason. It's accurate yet evasive and is equipped with an AoE stun that also deals a good chunk of damage while reducing enemy evasion with its EX skill. Finally, its high hit-count weapons and third weapon buffs make this unit a decent DPS mobile suit as well. |
![]() | • Gets a 20% critical rate boost whenever it fires off its EX Skill, which also bypasses a single target's defense. Needs to be transcended, however, if you're interested in getting its Accuracy and Critical ATK buffs that come with its transcendent skill. • But the investment may be well worth the cost as the Unicorn PF has the potential to become one of the best Green attackers in the game. |
![]() | • One of the few Generic mobile suits that can protect your heavy hitters from damage, the Dag Doll's "Jamming" status effect allows it to effectively lock down whatever big threat there is on any given main quest stage or any other PvE mode (especially if they're Raid-type units). |
![]() | • An extremely powerful EX looping mobile suit, though since it’s an MS that relies on its EX skill a lot, you’ll want it at the highest potential and transcendent level you can. • Its EX spamming capabilities, high beam damage, and devastating melee attacks help this unit do great in all Gundam UCE content once you invest heavily in it. |
![]() | • Its team-wide green-type buff makes it great in PvE content against Blue-type enemies given that you'll probably run multiple other Green-types with it. • It also has the fastest healing in the game, so it’s great in keeping its allies alive, increasing the odds of players securing 3-star mission clears. • It also has excellent damage, though it needs time to ramp up. |
![]() | • The Baund Doc is a highly versatile Mobile Suit with solid damage, evasion, durability, and debuff capabilities, making it a strong choice in PvP despite not excelling in any single area. It benefits from powerful buffs, including high evasion, HP, and damage reduction, as well as a stacking ranged damage buff and the ability to inflict the Unavoidable debuff. |
![]() | • Todesritter is an anti-Newtype Machine unit that is much more effective at taking out enemy mobile suits that fall under this unit category. However, because of its high crit rate and good survivability, it’s still a very good PvE unit even against non-Newtype Machines. In PvE stages against Newtype Machines, the Todesritter is probably your best bet. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) is a good attacker whose EX Skill bypasses an enemy's defense, on top of a 60% Critical Rate buff for 20 seconds afterward. • When paired with the right pilot such as Banagher Links, it gets Critical Rate, Critical ATK, reaction, and ranged sense buffs. |
![]() | • The Pale Rider (Space Type) has a niche in eliminating mobile suits with the "Newtype Machine" category. But unlike other mobile suits that fill niche roles like this, the Pale Rider also deals decent single-target damage, while being nigh-unhittable for 30 seconds when paired with the right pilot (such as Chloe Croce). • A Pale Rider (Space Type) with a Level 5 Transcendence Skill gets another 50% evasion buff for 30 seconds on top of additional accuracy and damage against "Newtype Machines". |
![]() | • The Nu Gundam, for all its rarity, is a rather unremarkable unit. However, its EX Skill does heal 22% HP of all its allies. • At full investment, it gets accuracy and beam damage buffs for its third weapon, as well as a slight beam damage buff whenever it damages an enemy unit (which stacks up to 10 times). |
![]() | • The Psycommu System Zaku makes a single enemy's beam and projectile attacks cause 50% less damage for 20 seconds. • It's much better as a fully upgraded unit since it gets more beam and projectile weapon damage cuts, as well as a 25% max HP cut on top of a 36% accuracy debuff. |
![]() | • A supporting mobile suit that does best in a team made up mostly of "Blue"-type mobile suits, since its EX skill boosts the damage of Blue-type mobile suit allies for 20 seconds. This makes it good to use when you're facing stages full of Red-type enemies. • Fully investing in the Re-GZ gets another damage buff for Blue-type mobile suit allies whenever the EX skill is activated. |
![]() | • Its EX Skill deals rather paltry damage on top of its damage buff being limited to "Psycho-Frame Type" unit category allies. Even at full investment, all it gets is increased damage and accuracy, while other Unicorn variants have more utility. • However, it can buff some pretty strong units such as the Sazabi, the Nu Gundam, and other Unicorn Gundam variants. |
![]() | • The Gundam (MSG version) might be good to bring along if you have mostly "Green"-type allies, as it increases their damage by 25% with its EX Skill. Other than that, however, it doesn't have other features that stand out. |
![]() | • The Hamma-Hamma is a great Generic-type mobile suit because its AoE EX Skill works well with other mobile suits that cause debuffs like Stun and Unavoidable. Pairing it with Gundam (The Origin) or the Hyaku Shiki, as well as the right pilot, will make it a damage powerhouse. • Without this specific setup, however, it doesn't have that much use. |
![]() | • Aside from being able to deal high amounts of damage with its EX Skill, the Phenex also makes its target receive 60% more Beam and Projectile damage - making it vulnerable to attacks from the Phenex's allies. This makes it more useful in coop raids, but it's alright to have for the main quest as well. • Transcending the unit gives it an added specialization against "Psycho-Frame Type" enemies, who will receive 26% more damage for 20 seconds after the Phenex activates its EX Skill. |
![]() | • Though it needs high Evasion in order to survive, the Gundam F91 still needs to be transcended in order to get a more than 60% Evasion boost that will only last 20 seconds after the activation of its EX skill. |
![]() | • A decent single-target attacker that will perform better if you have a team made up mostly of Purple MSs. If you intend to use it without such a team, then you might want to consider other higher-tier units. |
![]() | • If you need a healer that will go with your heavy-hitting units, the V2 is a good choice since it heals up to 22% of its allies' HP every time it uses its EX Skill. Its weakness to the Unavoidable debuff should be less of a problem in PvE, where you won't always face off against units like the Hyaku Shiki and others. |
![]() | • The Awakened Yonfavin deals good single target beam damage, is accurate, and benefits from increased EX gauge recovery, all on top of having the ability to heal its entire team. A potent mobile suit that would be higher on this tier list if there weren't many other better Generic mobile suits. |
![]() | • The Red Zeta is a specialized anti-Green mobile suit with powerful skills that deal significant burst damage to Green-type units but suffer penalties when facing Blue-types. Its EX skill hits Green units twice for 578% ATK damage and boosts evasion and ranged damage, while its Transcendent abilities allow early activation of this skill. If this unit only has to fight Green-type mobile suits, then it would've been S tier. However, the Main Quest has many mobile suits of different types, which the Red Zeta does nothing special against. |
![]() | • The Gundam 4th is known for its extremely strong AoE EX skill similar to the Gundam GP02A's. The two essentially serve the same purpose, and their win condition is to be able to get their EX skill off at least once before dying. • One downside to this unit is that it's reliant on its EX skill, so you'll want it at high Potential Level for better EX skill multipliers. However, this unit did not have a dedicated banner, so odds are you only have this unit at Potential Lv. 0. |
![]() | • The Narrative Gundam C-Packs is an anti-Psycho-Frame Type unit that jams its target with its EX skill when it falls under that unit category tag. It receives 99% less damage against Psycho-Frame Type units, while dealing 120% more damage against them. • The C-Packs is an excellent unit when against Psycho-Frame Type PvE stages, but is so-so against other mobile suits. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Good in the early game if you have nothing but Zaku-type mobile suits in your party since Char's Zaku I increases their damage by 22% with its EX Skill. • IPast that, however, Zaku-types are outpaced by Gundam-types and other non-Zaku mobile suits. |
![]() | • ItsEX Skill increases the evasion of all allies for 20 seconds. If they happen to have the "Delaz Conflict", they also get healed. • However, since this is the main quest, you're better off using its MS slot for another mobile suit that deals more damage instead. |
![]() | • Could be good to bring along when you're facing enemies that evade attacks too often since its EX Skill gives a party-wide accuracy boost for 20 seconds regardless of what mobile suit type or category they are. • Other than that, however, it's a lackluster MS. |
![]() | • It's the Char's Zaku II MSG version but without the stun. Instead of getting stunned, enemies get a movement speed reduction and take 50% more damage from projectile weapons for 20 seconds. • This makes it more inferior compared to the Char's Zaku II from MSG. |
![]() | • Though its EX Skill deals particularly great damage, the Victory Gundam doesn't have any other features such as buffs or healing for allies, or even self-buffs for its attack. If you want to use it, you'll need to get other mobile suits that can support it as well as the right pilot. |
![]() | • .The Theta Plus' EX Skill can deal great damage to enemies, though it does not have any other outstanding characteristics. |
![]() | • .The Engage Gundam Funnels' EX Skill may not deal that much damage, but it does boost the damage that other "Gundam-Type" units deal. If you don't have any better damage buffers on your team, the Engage Gundam Funnels is a viable alternative. |
![]() | • High accuracy and has the ability to self-heal, but deals lower damage compared to other Generic units. |
![]() | • Can be a good offensive unit with how much damage its EX skill can deal, but it is still outclassed by many other Generic-type units. |
![]() | • If you are in need of a debuffer that can lower the damage dealt by enemy units, the Alex can be a worthy mobile suit to use. However, its weakness in melee combat and the need for its canon pilot, Christina Mackenzie, makes it hard to recommend using it otherwise. It is essentially an inferior version of the Phenex. • But just like the Phenex, it's a good unit to use for Cooperative mode and Raid Battle. |
![]() | • A highly evasive Generic-type unit that can make a single target up to 36% less accurate. It's not as essential to have as in PvP but still useful if you're going against particularly tough PvE enemies. |
![]() | • Buffs the entire team's damage output by 8%, and another 16% if an ally falls under the Gundam-Type unit category tag. Not much value outside of that, but its damage buffs might be of use if your team mostly consists of strong Gundam-Type units. |
![]() | • Cima's Gelgoog Marine is a strong debuffer similar to Phenex and Alex, making enemies take more beam and projectile damage, which is ideal for Cooperative and Raid Battles against single powerful foes. • While the Phenex has a slightly higher debuff (60% vs. 50%), Cima's Gelgoog applies its debuff earliest thanks to its Transcendent Skill. Additionally, it deals significant damage with buffs to ranged sense and beam damage, including a stacking beam damage buff of up to 59%. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • A supporting mobile suit whose only notable feature is an 18% HP heal for all "Ground"-type mobile suit allies. |
![]() | • A lesser version of Ple-Two's Qubeley Mk-II that does not have that MS's accuracy debuff. Though it deals decent beam damage, it is outclassed by many other Generic mobile suits. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The GP02A's atomic bazooka deals heavy damage to all enemies on the battlefield. Even if it comes at a cost of getting the "unavoidable" debuff for 20 seconds, it has enough HP and DEF to survive. • Its level 5 Transcendent Skill boosts everything good about this unit - from a max HP buff, a damage resistance buff, an EX Skill damage buff, to a max damage buff. |
![]() | • Despite being an Armored unit, the The-O is capable of being a deadly mobile suit on the battlefield with its EX Skill capable of not only dealing high damage but the "Unavoidable" debuff, making it a good combination with the Zeta Gundam, Hamma-Hamma, and others. |
![]() | • The best defensive unit in the game that can shrug off many attacks due to its high Guard Rate buff, and is capable of dealing big beam damage as well. |
![]() | • The Full Armor ZZ Gundam (FAZZ) is a powerful armored tank in Gundam UC Engage, known for its ability to resist EX skill damage and boost Blue-type allies like the powerful Zeong. If you have a team mostly made of Blue-type mobile suits, this unit will serve you well in PvE, especially when you are up against Red-type teams. With its high durability and ability to spam its EX Skill, the FAZZ is a good MS to grind with through story mode or other PvE game modes like Co-op Battle. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The Gundam Full Armor is both a decent attacker and a good tank with its 50% DEF buff that lasts for 20 seconds. • Fully investing in the Gundam Full Armor gets it a 50% DEF buff at the start of the battle, as well as a beam damage buff, making it even tougher to defeat. |
![]() | • High accuracy with its bullseye status that ensures that its attacks will hit enemies, even though it is an Armored unit that's supposed to be more focused on tanking enemy hits. Needs to be transcended in order to get its 50% DEF buff, though your resources could go to another Armored unit instead. |
![]() | • The Full Armor ZZ Gundam (FAZZ) is a tanky Armored mobile suit with an EX skill that deals massive damage while boosting all Blue-type allies. If you are running a team with the Zeong, this can be a useful addition since it can give damage buffs to that unit very early in the battle. |
![]() | • An attrition unit that's supposed to taunt enemies into attacking it, the Rick Dom can be useful in missions where it has to take the heat for other units on your team.. |
![]() | • An attrition unit that's supposed to taunt enemies into attacking it, the Messer Type F01 can be useful in missions where it has to take the heat for other units on your team. This unit is slightly better than the Rick Dom considering that it's more durable, which is very important for Armored units. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Deals decent damage with its EX Skill, coupled with self-healing abilities that help sustain it during battle. |
![]() | • A heavy-hitting Armored unit similar to The-O, but lacks its defensive capabilities. Still good to use, however, if you just need an attacker to fill out your team. |
![]() | • The ZZ-GR is designed to reflect 33% of incoming beam damage back at attackers, but its lack of durability prevents it from excelling any further as a tank. While its EX skill boosts beam damage, deals 1154% ATK, and heals 45% of max HP, its other defensive options are limited and require Transcendent Lv. 5 to unlock. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Gato's Rick Dom acts as a good tank because its EX Skill restores its own HP four times over 20 seconds. It also deals good damage against single targets. • Fully investing in this unit buffs its HP and the damage dealt by its beam bazooka. |
![]() | • Boosts the damage of "GM-Type" units, but the relative rarity of useful mobile suits with that unit category means players won't be able to make the most out of this ability. |
![]() | • Another dodge tank whose weakness lies in its needing to receive damage continuously to keep its Evasion up. Other Armored dodge tanks have additional bonuses that help them last in the fight longer. |
![]() | • An Armored unit equipped with both evasion and guard rate. Would've been way better if it went all-in on just one defensive feature and not have it split between the two. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Few mobile suits are meta-defining, and the Zeong definitely has the honor of being one of these units. This Bombardment MS is a powerhouse of a DPS unit that can singlehandedly win matches thanks to its powerful AOE EX skill and its high hit count and beam damage-enhanced weaponry. • Because most PvE stages are against teams of a single type/color, the Zeong's AOE EX skill will annihilate Red-type teams and will be effective against most PvE stages, sometimes even against enemies the Zeong has a type disadvantage against. Its only downside is that it doesn't have a lot of accuracy, so it'll struggle against something like The-O. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The S Gundam was once one of the best Bombardment units in the game because of its ability to buff its critical rate right after activating its EX Skill. When paired with the right pilot (such as Roux Louka), its range and accuracy also increase. It's now outclassed by the Zeong, though it's still a pretty good mobile suit. • A fully Transcendent S Gundam gets a 25% accuracy buff, as well as a 36% critical ATK buff. |
![]() | • This mobile suit's EX Skill not only deals good damage by bypassing the target's DEF, but it also stuns opponents, leaving them vulnerable to your teammates' attacks and unable to retaliate. It also benefits from built in critical rate, making it even better with an Ez8. |
![]() | • A powerful bombardment unit that charges up its EX gauge by half every time with its EX skill, meaning it can fire off its EX skill faster. It still needs to survive the first few seconds of battle, however, before this loop gets going. |
![]() | • A powerful mobile suit that, like the ZZ Gundam and FA Engage A Plan, needs to stay healthy to deal big damage. However, unlike those two, the Gedlav is very tanky and can stay above the health threshold needed to perform well. • Its EX skill can also heal it, possibly getting its HP back above the threshold should it fall critically before using its EX skill. |
![]() | • While it's not the best unit for PvP, the RX-78F00 HMT Gundam High Mobility Type excels in PvE with its near-guaranteed critical hits. It does not have to worry about staying at Max HP as long as you have other units that can keep enemies away (plus it won't have to come face to face with meta threats like the Zeong or Char's Z'Gok). As long as you can keep the "Crit Gramps" healthy, it is one of the better units you can get your hands on for PvE. |
![]() | • A powerful mobile suit, the FAUC NT-D is comparable to the Zeong in the sense that they're both multi-hit Bombardment units with AoE EX Skills and good damage buffs. However, what limits the FAUC NT-D's value is its self-inflicted -200% crit rate debuff. This makes it impossible to land crits, even when alongside an Ez8. That said, if you didn't have Ez8 to begin with, this unit is a good pick. |
![]() | • A Zeong-like Bombardment unit that deals bonus damage to Armored units. It is equipped with an extremely powerful Third Weapon that benefits from multiple damage buffs and a 1,000,000 increase to its Third Weapon max damage. • Its biggest weakness in Arena is the FAZZ, and because it’s almost never present in PvE, it won’t have difficulty shredding through teams, especially in stages against multiple Armored units. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • A glass cannon capable of taking down some mobile suits in one shot, though it would need to be Transcended to get important buffs to its Ranged Damage, Accuracy, and Critical Rate. |
![]() | • Its kit is very similar to the ZZ Gundam in the sense that it excels when it's healthy. • Excellent in PvE stages against Green-type MSs given that it deals bonus damage to all units of that type. |
![]() | • The Psycho Zaku can be a good anti "Gundam-type" unit that also does its role as a bombardment unit well. When paired with the right pilot, such as Daryl Lorenz, this unit gains accuracy and ranged sense buffs whenever an ally is defeated. • While this MS is actually one of the highest DPS Red-type MSs in the game, its conditional buff which requires its allies to die first hurts its value in a game mode that rewards you for having all your units survive the battle. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The G-3 Gundam is an alright bombardment unit if you happen to have it, but its main ability trades HP to deal damage to the nearest enemies, while not having abilities that allow it to sustain itself like healing. Since its EX Skill needs this MS to approach enemies to deal damage, there's a good chance that the G-3 will just get taken out very quickly. |
![]() | • While it won't deal as much single-target damage as the ZZ Gundam or the S Gundam, the Guncannon deals a good amount of burst damage to all enemy units whenever it uses its EX Skill. AOE is a very powerful damage type to have in PvE. Among its transcendent upgrades is a buff to your EX Gauge Recovery, allowing you to deal even more AOE damage. • While it's not a bad unit, it's just outclassed by all the other Bombardment units in the game. |
![]() | • Char's Rick Dom is a mobile suit centered around being "tanky" for a Bombardment unit. It isn't a very good mobile suit because plenty of its buffs scale with its max HP, which isn't high at all given that it's a Bombardment unit. • It can be used against stages with multiple Bombardment units, as it can also jam enemy Bombardment units for 4.4 seconds 4 seconds into the battle, potentially making the enemy Bombardment units hit for just 1 damage instead of the full amount. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The Ez8 improves the critical ATK and critical rate of all its allies, but especially more for Bombardment mobile suits. Great to pair with multiple Bombardment units or crit-based units like the Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility. |
![]() | • The Gyan is already a powerful unit for PvP, and so in PvE as well., It forces enemies to target Armored mobile suits for the first 15 seconds of combat, protecting its team's DPS units. It also enhances the survivability of Zeon Forces-Affiliated allies by reducing incoming damage and boosting its own EX skill damage when paired with them. Even without full investment, the Gyan excels in tanking and team protection, making it a valuable addition to any competitive team. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Char’s Z’Gok is known for making its team lock in on Gundam-Type opponents first, but that’s not very important in PvE where you face teams of usually the same unit categories. • It’s great against Gundam-Types, but close to useless when there aren’t any Gundam-Types around. Because Gundam-Types are less common in PvE, Char’s Z’Gok becomes a lot less usable in this game mode. However, if against Gundam-Types, Char’s Z’Gok becomes one of the best mobile suits in the game. |
![]() | • It deals respectable damage for support while also having an EX skill that increases the damage of all allies by 22%. Grants a constant damage buff for Newtype Machine allies for as long as it is alive, which is great if you have DPS carries like the Zeta Gundam or the ZZ Gundam, powerful units that fall under this unit category tag. |
![]() | • The B-Packs is a unit that increases the max damage cap, ranged damage, and combat effectiveness of Generic and Sniper mobile suits. If you field plenty of these on your team, the B-Packs is the perfect unit to accompany them. • The B-Packs is a necessary unit for when you have plenty of units that have fallen off in terms of damage when compared to the game’s SS-tier units. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Its heal and durability buffs help Armored units last longer in battles, which is very useful in weaker teams where the tank dies before being able to clear the PvE mission. Especially useful when paired alongside the Gyan. • However, once you’ve gotten stronger, it’s not really needed anymore unless you’re running something like a tank-centered team. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Increases the evasion of all Close Combat and Raid MSs while having an EX skill that grants absolute evade to all allies for 5 seconds. Only useful when you’re running a team full of Raid and Close Combat units, though that’s very unlikely unless you’re a beginner with not a lot of other units to play around with. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Very niche in the sense that she buffs Qubeley-Type and Engage-Type MSs, which aren’t very common, especially among the top units in the game. Has an AoE heal in its EX skill but it takes way too long for it to activate. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • A versatile sniper that does AoE damage with its EX Skill and decreases the enemy's beam damage by 30% for 20 seconds. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The RX-93ff is similar to the Zaku I with Big Gun except that it's also the fastest healer in the game so far. • It also comes with Bullseye buffs that make sure it will not miss. |
![]() | • One of the best snipers in the game, the Zaku I with Big Gun executes enemy mobile suits that your main attackers haven't taken out yet. |
![]() | • The Gundam Mk-II with Flying Armor is a powerful stunner with high evasion, despite being a Sniper unit. Though this all disappears the moment its HP goes below 50%, it shouldn't have this issue in PvE (as the enemies in that mode shouldn't be able to damage it as badly). It also has a decent EX skill that deals damage, stuns for 7 seconds, and further increases evasion |
![]() | • Nearly identical to the Gundam Mk-II + Flying Armor, this MS also benefits from plenty of buffs when above 50% HP. One notable difference between the two is that the G-Fighter deals two instances of EX Skill damage instead of a stun, while also increasing evasion. Great in PvE where it’s easy to keep this unit protected in comparison to PvP. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The Zanneck is a mid-range sniper unit with strong damage buffs and sustain capabilities. Its EX skill deals 537% ATK damage while boosting its own damage output, and when fully Transcended, it gains a 50% EX gauge restoration buff that lets it activate this skill earlier. While it's not the strongest DPS out there, its damage sustain effect and buffs make it viable for longer battles such as certain events and co-op battles. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Very high melee beam damage; can dismantle teams one by one. Its EX SKill deals 704% ATK damage. • Capable of overwhelming even the tankiest armored units when upgraded. • Lacks defense and survivability: no healing, damage reduction, or evasion. But in PvE, its fragility is less of a drawback against all-green teams. |
![]() | • The Titania is the best close combat MS in the game so far, with the ability to spam its EX skill by charging its EX gauge per evade and having 3 melee weapons that give it high hit counts. • Every evade also has a 1000 HP heal, helping the Titania sustain itself in battle. |
![]() | • A high-damage melee fighter that grants a team-wide proximity damage buff, as well as a 200000 damage cap boost for Raid and Close Combat allies. • A must-have for melee-oriented team compositions, though plenty of units with beam sabers and other melee weapon 2s can benefit from its buffs too. |
![]() | • More or less a complete package of melee damage, evasion, damage resistances, and high HP, at the cost of being unable to deal crit damage. • Also equipped with an instant execute EX skill that targets the lowest HP enemy unit for decent damage, while also buffing evasion and beam damage. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Strong Close Combat unit with good burst damage in PvE; proximity damage increases with each hit it makes. Also deals the Unavoidable debuff to a targeted enemy, leaving them vulnerable to further hits. • When transcended, gains a 30-second 50% evasion buff at the start of the battle. However, it does not have any other defensive options. |
![]() | • Strong offensive damage with a 200,000 max damage cap boost and high crit rate, but lacks defensive options such as evasion. Shot up in value as a PvE unit now that the crit rework has finally arrived. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Bypasses a target's DEF with its EX Skill. Also buffs the Proximity (melee) damage dealt by its allies by 25%. Still needs transcending to get further defensive options like a 50% Evasion boost and additional beam damage. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Very strong, but very situational. It needs allies who can inflict AoE debuffs like the Qubeley or the Hyaku Shiki for its strong damage potential to show. Otherwise, a mediocre unit given that it's only strong against debuffed opponents. |
![]() | • Another mediocre and situational unit, the Efreet Custom has an ✖ terrain disadvantage in Space, and a lot of the PvE content takes place in Space stages. • It has a fun gimmick wherein it becomes nigh unstoppable for 10 seconds after it uses its EX skill, though it’s outshined by other MSs who are effective all throughout the match, and do not have terrible terrain disadvantages. |
