Victory 2 Buster Gundam Analysis

AoE Tank Buster

The Victory 2 Buster Gundam, commonly referred to as V2B, is a Bombardment mobile suit that was relevant for a few months when it was released over at the Japanese server.

The V2B's EX skill is an AoE attack that deals 362% ATK to all enemy units, though if a target is an Armored category mobile suit, it'll take an additional 724% ATK damage. This EX skill also boasts a 32% damage buff for 20 seconds, which is very strong considering that it covers all types of damage, including EX skill damage. When fully Transcended, the V2B can use its EX skill very early into the battle thanks to a 50% EX gauge restoration buff that it gets when battle begins, allowing it to benefit from its buff early, as well as potentially take out or critically injure tanks early on with its massive bonus damage.

Extremely Powerful Third Weapon

The V2B's Skill 1 grants a 200,000 damage cap increase to its first two weapons, and grants a ramping beam damage buff and evasion buff for 60 seconds. These ramping buffs grant 11% beam damage and 8% evasion every 5 seconds, and each max out at 55% and 40% respectively after 25 seconds.

Its Skill 2, on the other hand, takes its Third Weapon to a whole new level. Its Third Weapon gains a 1 million damage cap increase, which is huge. It also benefits from two 48% Third Weapon beam damage buffs that are active when its HP is at or above 100% and 80% respectively, and a constant 99% Third Weapon beam damage buff too.

One key thing to take note of is that this mobile suit debuffs its Third Weapon accuracy by 50%. This will cause this weapon to miss often, but it can be remedied by having Uso Ewin aboard, who we'll talk about more in the Best Pilot section of this analysis. Uso is a must-have for this MS, and not having him will cause this MS to barely be able to land hits with its most powerful weapon.

Transcending Grants Fast EX, Beam Damage Resistance

Fully Transcending this mobile suit gives this unit access to 25% evasion, 36% more beam damage, the 50% EX gauge restoration buff we've already discussed, and a 48% EX Damage Taken Down buff. All these are rather self-explanatory, but the 48% EX damage resistance buff is excellent in this meta, as it can withstand powerful EX skills that may come its way, like a Zeong's EX skill.

Limited PvP Value

While its AoE EX skill is really good against every Armored unit but one, the one unit who can tank it like it's nothing also happens to be the most-used Armored mobile suit in Elite Arena right now, the FAZZ. It'll struggle against teams with the FAZZ+Gyan combo, which is the most common defensive duo in Elite Arena.

Other things that limit its PvP value is its ramping evasion and beam damage buffs taking too long to reach their maximum values, and its lack of any means to deal with evasive targets.

For PvE, on the other hand, it could do very well as a backline DPS unit with decent defense for a Bombardment unit.

Uso is a must-have pilot for this mobile suit given that he negates the 50% Third Weapon accuracy reduction debuff that the V2B inflicts on itself. Other than that, he grants huge amounts of ranged sense, with the maximum being 436%. Finally, Uso grants this unit 20% accuracy, which is nice because the V2B does not have any built-in accuracy buffs.

Because Uso Ewin is the only pilot who can remove his skills, no other pilot really comes close. Its impact will be severely limited if it can't land shots with its Third Weapon, so make sure you have Uso if you intend on using this MS for battle.
