Nu Gundam Analysis

AoE Healer and Green-Type Buffer

This Green-type version of the Nu Gundam fulfills more of a supportive role than anything. Its EX skill hits targets for 693% ATK damage but also heals all allies for 22% max HP like the Red Nu Gundam, and also increases the damage of Green-type allies by 26% for 20 seconds. Thanks to its Skill 2 which grants 50% EX gauge recovery for 60 seconds, the Nu Gundam can cast its EX skill at a good rate of around 5-7 seconds. This makes the Nu a very good PvE unit, particularly in PvE content against Blue-type units and in teams with multiple Green-type mobile suits who can all benefit from the buffs.

On top of its supportive capabilities, it also boasts good damage potential, but it has to ramp up first given its 22% increased beam damage every 5 seconds for a maximum of 110%. It takes 25 seconds for it to reach max power, and it loses the buff after 60 seconds. It's not very strong early in a match, especially after the first minute of battle. It has a 200,000 damage cap increase, but it'll have trouble getting there anyway given how it only has a 110% ramping beam damage buff and a 36% beam damage buff from its Transcendent skills.

Finally, this mobile suit also gains ramping evasion similar to how it gets beam damage, but it only maxes out at 50%, and you have to wait 25 seconds to get just 50% evasion, which really isn't enough to help it survive.

Overall, the Nu Gundam is a good PvE unit, but that's about it. Its weak early game makes it unsuitable for PvP, and its EX skill isn't very good for PvP either since you likely won't have many Green types in your team. Its healing abilities can be nice in certain situations to keep its allies alive, but heals aren't as useful in PvP as it is in other game modes.

Stronger When Transcended

Transcending this mobile suit grants 25% more accuracy and 36% beam damage. These aren't too exciting, but at Transcendent Lv. 5, the MS can start battles with its EX gauge already halfway filled, allowing it to get off its AOE heal and damage buff out earlier on in the match. However, you can still find value in this mobile suit without transcending it, especially if you're using it just for PvE.

Amuro Ray grants this mobile suit up to 150% ramping ranged sense, up to 150% more ranged sense on dealing damage, up to 300% stacking melee sense on evade, up to 60% ramping accuracy, and up to 60% ramping evasion. A lot of Amuro's skills are buffs that need to ramp up, so he mostly increases the peak of the mobile suit's power past the 25-second mark up to the first minute.

With Amuro, the Nu Gundam will have a window where it'll have 100% evasion and 75% accuracy.
