Anti-Gundam Support Unit

The Char's Z'Gok is an excellent situational support unit that changes the way your team fights. Its Skill 1 makes the Z'Gok's teammates lock in on opposing Gundam-Type units, and will not attack anyone else until they defeat their target. What makes things worse for Gundam-Type units is that they'll take 28% more damage from not only the Char's Z'Gok, but its entire team as well.

A lot of powerful mobile suits fall under this unit category, like the S Gundam, the Banshee (NT-D), and the Gundam Full Armor. Enemy teams centered around Gundam-Type units will struggle against a team with the Char's Z'Gok, as they will be focused on until they die.

Of course, there's a downside against enemy teams whose biggest threats aren't Gundam-Type units. In these cases, damage threats who aren't affected by this passive could potentially wipe out Char's Z'Gok's team without fear of retaliation. If you plan on using this mobile suit, check the team you're facing first and then strategize accordingly.

As a support unit, its damage lags far behind the top DPS units in the game. However, it can deal decent chunks of damage quite frequently with its EX Skill, which deals 722% ATK damage to one targeted enemy unit.

Finally, the Char's Z'Gok also works well against evasive units, as it reduces the evasion of the entire enemy team by 14% for as long as it stays alive, as well as another 25% for a single enemy unit for 20 seconds after firing its EX Skill. Gundam-Type units and mobile suits that rely on evasion are extremely common in this game. Being a strong counter against these extremely common unit types elevates the Char's G'zok's value to the S-tier.

Works Well With Just One Copy

The two things that make the Char's Z'Gok great are how it makes its entire team lock in on Gundam-Type enemy units and how it reduces the entire enemy team's evasion. Both of these things are available to the Char's Z'Gok, even without unleashing its potential. All you'll need is just one copy and your team can benefit greatly from the buffs the Char's Z'Gok brings to the table.

Naturally, this mobile suit will grow stronger in power the more you invest in them. Its EX Skill deals 722% of its ATK to a single enemy, which is no joke at all, as well as increases the damage that target takes by 32%. This synergizes with its EX Gauge recovery transcendent skills. With just the permanent 48% increase, you'll be firing your EX Skill around every 7-8 seconds. It's better to unleash its potential and invest heavily in it if you plan on using this unit often. However, don't feel too bad about not being able to do so, as this unit will still provide your team with excellent value.

Strongest When Underwater

When transcended, it receives a permanent 48% EX Gauge recovery buff, and another one worth 50% when in an underwater map. A 98% increase in EX gauge recovery is huge, and this helps Char's G'Zok's team take out enemy teams faster thanks to the EX Skills great damage and increased damage taken debuff. Moreover, the majority of mobile suits do not thrive underwater, which makes the Char's Z'Gok even more valuable.

While Underwater maps are extremely rare, it's still worth noting how effective this unit is for these specific situations. These may be quite uncommon at the moment, but it's likely that the game will introduce events or story sequences set underwater.
