When a mobile suit is featured in a special banner (Extreme Limited, Super Limited, Event), for a limited time, the featured unit can be Transcended for free up to the same Potential Level the player has them in.
That said, try to pull for multiple copies whenever powerful units are added into the game through their dedicated banners and try to get their Potential Lv. up as high as possible to take full advantage of this free Transcendence period. This will undoubtedly cost a lot of Diamonds, so make sure that this is only done for powerful new units or units that will be used for a long time.
How to Transcend Units for Free

When in need of blueprints to unleash the potential of owned units, the first way to get them is through farming the game's Fragment Quests (in the game's Upgrade Quests mode). Each Fragment Quest gives blueprints or character pieces for free. However, it will take a while before players can get the 125 blueprints necessary to unleash the mobile suit's potential once.

It is also possible to use Haro Coins or Grand Coins to buy Blueprints from the Shop. Each section of the shop has different prices for different blueprints, and the Grand Coins shop will only sell blueprints for units already owned.

If the banner of the mobile suit that is having its Potential Level raised is still available, but free diamonds are in short supply, it may be worth considering to buy more from the UCE Web Store, which offers more Diamonds per pack compared to the in-game store.
Players may also consider buying Diamonds when certain banners, such as the Extreme Limited Unit Assembly, are available, as they not only feature one unit but many powerful units released in the past.

If pulling alone is not enough to acquire the desired number of copies, it is possible to use the Extreme Limited Unit Assembly banner's Exchange Target section to get a copy of the specific unit desired.
What is the Gundam UCE Web Store?

Whenever a player raises a Mobile Suit's potential, they also raise its base stats (such as HP, ATK, and DEF) and enhance its EX Skill.
This makes it a more viable fighter, especially in the Arena, where even if the same two units fight each other, the one with the better stats and EX skill will win.
