Best Arena Teams Explained

All-UR Team With Limited Units

These are some of the best units you can field in the Arena at present. All these units either deal ridiculously high damage, are extremely durable, offer great utility, or a combination of these three. However, it will take quite a lot of resources and effort to not only get them but to fully unlock their Transcendent Skills and unleash their Potential. If you have any doubts about this team, know that the top 3 ranking players of Season 70 Elite Arena use this exact same lineup.

［M0306］ Full Armor ZZ Gundam	Summary • An Armored unit known for taking 99% less damage from EX Skills, as well as having a 55% guard rate buff that depletes each time it is hit like the Penelope. • It also buffs allied Blue-types' damage output by 26% with its EX Skill.
［M0238］ Gundam Ez8	Summary • One of the most powerful supports in the game, the Ez8 improves the crit rate and critical ATK of all its allies, but these buffs are more potent for Bombardment units.
［M0218］ Sazabi ［THE LIFE-SIZED v Gundam STATUE］	Summary • The Yellow Sazabi is the best skirmisher in the game with extremely high beam damage, big lifesteal for sustain, and the Bullseye status effect, which ensures that each of its attacks land, even against ≥100% evasion.
［M0109］ Johnny Ridden's Gelgoog Cannon	Summary • A Bombardment unit with good damage and utility. It's equipped with an EX Skill that stuns the target for 7 seconds, while also dealing damage that bypasses DEF. This mobile suit benefits a lot from the Ez8's buffs.
［M0056］ Zeong	Summary • The most powerful DPS unit in the game, not just among Bombardments, but across all categories. Its AoE EX skill and high hit-count weapons, paired with its numerous beam damage buffs, make this mobile suit a DPS powerhouse. Like Johnny Ridden's Gelgoog, this MS benefits a lot from the Ez8.
［M0317］ Gyan	Summary • The best defensive unit in the game not because of its stats or defense, but because it draws enemy aggro towards its allied Armored units. This buys its allied DPS units time to do their thing and deal damage without fear of retaliation.

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvP)

Budget PvP Team

If you are just starting out and only managed to get a single UR mobile suit such as the S Gundam, you can cobble together this team by either farming their corresponding blueprints (Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt)), or chancing upon them while pulling on the game's gacha banners. None of the mobile suits listed here are limited mobile suits. The ones you can't farm from Fragment Quests, you can pull from most, if not, all of the banners, including the regular MS and Pilot Unit Assembly Banners.

With enough investment, this team will do fairly well in Arena, though it'll struggle against the meta team compositions with Gyan, Zeong, and Sazabi.

［M0239］ S Gundam	Summary • While it's a very hard unit to pull for, most players should have the S Gundam and its signature pilot from the MS and Pilot selectors all new players receive when they make their accounts. • A powerful bombardment mobile suit that will serve as one of your team's main ranged damage dealers.
［M0010］ Gundam Full Armor (Thunderbolt)	Summary • The Gundam Full Armor (Thunderbolt) or FATB for short is a defensive juggernaut of a mobile suit. It's great at protecting its allies and keeping enemy units busy. • It's a mobile suit you can earn blueprints for and unlock for free via Fragment Quests, and unlike its other fellow farmable units, is actually a pretty good unit that you can get lots of mileage on.
［M0317］ Gyan	Summary • The Gyan draws enemy aggro towards the FATB, buying time for this team's DPS units to do their thing. It is one of the most effective mobile suits in the game.
［M0238］ Gundam Ez8	Summary • The Ez8 improves the crit rate and critical ATK of all its allies, but these buffs are more potent for Bombardment units. This is why we have 2 Bombardment units in this team comp. • Not only is this unit something you can pull for in the game's regular gacha banners, but it can also be acquired through the 1st Anniversary UR MS Selector ticket.
［M0041］ ZZ Gundam	Summary • The ZZ Gundam is a Bombardment unit that can really capitalize on the buffs that the Ez8 brings to the table. It's not the best Bombardment unit out there, and this is more of a PvE unit than an Arena MS. Despite this, it's still a pretty serviceable unit that can deal good amounts of damage. • If you have Johnny Ridden's Gelgoog Cannon or the Zeong, use these instead of the ZZ Gundam.
［M0286］ Sinanju Stein (NT Version)	Summary • The Sinanju Stein is one of the mobile suits that have benefitted greatly from the crit rework. It's a crit-based unit that targets Generic units first, endangering enemy units of that category like the Sazabi, GP04, and the like.

If you don't have these units, you can replace them with some of these powerful mobile suits that you can also acquire by pulling from the game's gacha banners. Again, none of the mobile suits listed here are Limited units found only in specific banners.

Dolphin PvP Team

If you consider yourself a medium-spender in this game and can afford to guarantee pulling for more than a few UR mobile suits, then you might want to consider aiming for a few of the best MSs the game has to offer. In particular, having just Gyan, Zeong, and Ez8 can get you into the Elite Arena, provided you already have enough investments in your key units.

That said, the following team consists of a mix of the top non-limited mobile suits paired with a couple of top-tier meta mobile suits.

［M0056］ Zeong	Summary • The premier DPS threat. It will serve as your team's main damage dealer.
［M0269］ Messer Type F01	Summary • A substitute for the Gyan+Armored unit combo, the Messer does the same thing by provoking enemy units and forcing them to attack it first for the first 8 seconds of combat. This mobile suit isn't as tanky as the top-tier Armored units, but can buy enough time for your DPS units to go ham on the enemy team without fear of retaliation.
［M0238］ Gundam Ez8	Summary • The Ez8 is a non-limited support that dramatically improves the entire team's damage output by buffing their crit rate and critical ATK.
［M0109］ Johnny Ridden's Gelgoog Cannon	Summary • Another non-limited UR, this mobile suit has emerged as one of the best Bombardment units in the game thanks to its good damage, crit rate, stun, and DEF bypassing EX skill.
［M0218］ Sazabi ［THE LIFE-SIZED v Gundam STATUE］	Summary • Next to the Zeong, the Yellow Sazabi is the best DPS unit in the game. It has high beam damage, bullseye, and 66% lifesteal.
［M0312］ Gaplant	Summary • A mobile suit that uses its EX Skill right when the battle begins, the Gaplant has emerged to be an excellent Arena unit given that its EX Skill targets the lowest HP enemy unit, and this is often the Zeong considering that unit's popularity and very low base HP. • If the enemy team you're facing doesn't have a Zeong or a low HP priority target, opt to replace this unit with another Bombardment or DPS unit instead.
