Best Arena Teams Explained

All-UR Team With Limiteds

These are some of the best units you can field in the Arena at present. All these units either deal ridiculously high damage, are extremely durable, offer great utility, or a combination of these three. However, it will take quite a lot of effort to not only get them but to fully unlock their Transcendent Skills and unleash their Potential.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - The-O Icon[M0105] The-O Summary
• A dodge tank capable of dealing high single-target damage on top of inflicting them with the Unavoidable debuff, which makes them unable to avoid attacks from its allies.
• Its defense is also something to behold as it has high evasion and charges up its EX gauge as well as heal each time it evades an attack.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam GP02A Icon[M0122] Gundam GP02A Summary
• Another tank, but it earns a spot on this team for the extremely high AOE damage its EX skill does. Position this behind The-O to give it enough time to fire off its EX skill.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Sazabi [THE LIFE-SIZED v Gundam STATUE] Icon[M0218] Sazabi [THE LIFE-SIZED v Gundam STATUE] Summary
• The Yellow Sazabi is the best skirmisher in the game with extremely high beam damage, big lifesteal for sustain, and the Bullseye status effect, which ensures that each of its attacks land, even against ≥100% evasion.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Zeta Gundam Icon[M0086] Zeta Gundam Summary
• Deals high beam damage to enemies that are too close to it. Also, it can spam its EX skill due to its ability to recover its own EX Skill gauge every time it uses the skill.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Zeong Icon[M0056] Zeong Summary
• The most powerful DPS unit in the game, not just among Bombardments, but across all categories. Its AoE EX skill and high hit-count weapons, paired with its numerous beam damage buffs, makes this mobile suit a DPS powerhouse.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gyan Icon[M0317] Gyan Summary
• The best defensive unit in the game not because of its stats or defense, but because it draws enemy aggro towards its allied Armored units. This buys its allied DPS units time to do their thing and deal damage without fear of retaliation.

Substitute picks for this team include all of the SS and S-Tier units on our PvP Tier List.

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvP)

Budget PvP Team

If you are just starting out and only managed to get a single UR mobile suit such as the S Gundam, you can cobble together this team by either farming their corresponding blueprints (Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt), Char's Zaku II), or chancing upon them while pulling on the game's gacha banners. None of the mobile suits listed here are limited mobile suits. The ones you can't farm from Fragment Quests, you can pull from most, if not, all of the banners, including the regular MS and Pilot Unit Assembly Banners.

With enough investments, this team will do fairly well in Arena, though it'll struggle against the meta team compositions with Gyan, Zeong, and Sazabi.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - S Gundam Icon[M0239] S Gundam Summary
• While it's a very hard unit to pull for, most players should have the S Gundam and its signature pilot from the MS and Pilot selectors all new players receive when they make their accounts.
• A powerful bombardment mobile suit that will serve as one of your team's main ranged damage dealers.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam Full Armor Icon[M0010] Gundam Full Armor (Thunderbolt) Summary
• The Gundam Full Armor (Thunderbolt) or FATB for short is a defensive juggernaut of a mobile suit. It's great at protecting its allies and keeping enemy units busy.
• It's a mobile suit you can earn blueprints for and unlock for free via Fragment Quests, and unlike its other fellow farmable units, is actually a top-tier unit that you can get lots of mileage on.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Titania Icon[M0245] Titania Summary
• The Titania, while it can't be farmed in Fragment Quests, can be acquired by players in plenty of banners, as well as through the 1st Anniversary UR Selector Banner.
• A melee powerhouse very similar to The-O in the sense that they're both extremely evasive units who heal and restore EX on evade. Unlike The-O, the Titania can make use of the Absolute Evade mechanic, making it better at evading.
• This mobile suit can serve both as a skirmisher and as a tank given its evasive prowess.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Dag Doll Icon[M0340] Dag Doll Summary
• The Dag Doll is a lot like the Yellow Sazabi but with a tad less damage and more utility. They're both high DPS skirmishers with lifesteal, but what separates the Dag Doll is that it inflicts Jamming on whatever it's attacking, as well as all Raid mobile suits for a full 8 seconds, giving their attacks a chance to hit for just 1 damage instead of the full amount.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Hyaku Shiki Icon[M0100] Hyaku Shiki Summary
• Capable of inflicting the Unavoidable debuff on an entire enemy team, the Hyaku Shiki prevents all allies from missing.
• It shines better in team compositions with units like the Zeta Gundam, The-O, and Hamma-Hamma as they benefit more from the Unavoidable debuff, but can still find good value in lineups like this.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Zeta Gundam (Hyper Mega Launcher) Icon[M0266] Zeta Gundam (Hyper Mega Launcher) Summary
• The Zeta HML is the 2nd best Bombardment unit in the game next to the Zeong. It is an EX Skill spammer with high beam damage and will play a key part in this team's offense.

If you don't have these units, you can replace them with some of these powerful mobile suits that you can also acquire via Fragment Quests, Shop, or by pulling them from the game's gacha banners. Again, none of the mobile suits listed here are Limited units found only in specific banners.

All these units listed above range from being above average to SS-tier picks for Arena. If you happen to have some Limited units from our S and SS-Tier PvP Tier List, they should fit well somewhere in this team to give it a good boost in power.

Dolphin PvP Team

If you consider yourself a medium-spender in this game and can afford to guarantee pulling for more than a few UR mobile suits, then you might want to consider aiming for a few of the best MSs the game has to offer. In particular, having just Gyan, Zeong, and Penelope/The-O can get you into the Elite Arena, provided you already have enough investments in your key units.

That said, the following team consists of a mix of the top non-limited mobile suits paired with a couple of top-tier meta mobile suits.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Zeong Icon[M0056] Zeong Summary
• The premier DPS threat. It will serve as your team's main damage dealer.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam Full Armor Icon[M0010] Gundam Full Armor (Thunderbolt) Summary
• The Gundam Full Armor is the best defensive Non-Limited mobile suit in the game with its DEF buffs, being a serviceable tank for the team comps it finds itself in.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - The-O Icon[M0105] The-O Summary
• Your main defensive tank is also equipped with a potent offense. Can be switched for Penelope, but if you have both, replace the FATB instead.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gyan Icon[M0317] Gyan Summary
• Will force your enemies to attack your Armored units first, giving your DPS units a window to deal big damage without fear of retaliation.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Engage Zero Incom Type Icon[M0267] Engage Zero Incom Type Summary
• One of the best supports in the game who can bolster your Armored units' defenses.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Zaku I with Big Gun Icon[M0214] Zaku I with Big Gun (Thunderbolt) Summary
• Long-range damage threat with an executioner EX skill that deals big damage to the lowest HP enemy unit.

Once again, feel free to replace the units you don't have with the listed units above. If you have mobile suits from the SS and S-tier of our PvP Tier List, they're likely very good candidates to replace units you're missing.
