Best Arena Team Comps Explained

All-UR Team With Limited Units

These are some of the best units you can field in the Arena at present. All these units either deal ridiculously high damage, are extremely durable, offer great utility, or a combination of these three.

However, it will take quite a lot of resources and effort not only to get them but also to unlock their Transcendent Skills and unleash their Potential fully. Assuming you have the right investments in them and you play all 6 Arena games daily, this team should get you high up on the Elite Arena rankings.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Alex (Chobham Armor) Icon[M0431] Alex (Chobham Armor) • An Armored unit that receives huge projectile and beam damage resistance boosts, which max out at 98% after using its EX skill. This EX skill also heals it for 45% of its max HP.
• What makes this MS so strong is how it is able to reflect 144% of the EX damage it takes back at the attacker, and it has a 200,000 damage cap increase to help it reach huge amounts of damage when reflecting EX
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Nu Gundam (Double Fin Funnels) Icon[M0378] Nu Gundam (Double Fin Funnels) • While its lack of crits do limit its damage output, it is still extremely useful in Arena thanks to its ability to access both the Assault and Absolute Evade status effects. Its Assault status makes it excellent in taking down guard-oriented units, and can cancel out with Perfect Guard, all while its Absolute Evade grants it a strong layer of defense for the first 18s of combat. These come at the expense of a -200% crit rate debuff, which shouldn't bother you too much since you're not running Ez8 on this team anyway.
• If your Arena matchup doesn't need you to run the Assault status, look to field in a stronger DPS unit instead, like the Rozen Zulu or the Todesritter, or look to field in something with better utility like the F91 Full Power or Char's Z'Gok (against key Gundam-Types).
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Victory 2 Assault Gundam Icon[M0377] Victory 2 Assault Gundam • The V2A is another mobile suit with incredible utility and respectable damage, the V2A heals the lowest HP unit, cuts the damage its entire team takes from EX skills, and grants itself Perfect Guard with its EX skill. It also benefits from ramping evasion and beam damage buffs, both maxing out at around the 25-second mark, which the V2A is very capable of reaching given its excellent defense.
• With Gyan and Alex on the team, the lowest HP unit and recipient of the heal will likely be the Alex, which will allow it to last even longer in combat.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Sinanju (Generic) Icon[M0408] Sinanju • The Sinanju is an incredibly high damage self-sustaining crit-based unit with Bullseye. It's able to reach 100% crit rate without the Ez8, charges its EX skill on crit, and heals itself by 10,000 HP on crit.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Magna Martell (Awaken) Icon[M0296] Magna Martell (Awaken) • The Magna Martell (Awaken) has been a staple Arena pick ever since its release. It is an all-around unit with a potent high firepower offense, great defense with Absolute Evade that stays active for the remainder of the match once activated and a single-use heal, along with special event-only modules that synergize perfectly with this MS.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gyan Icon[M0317] Gyan • The best defensive unit in the game not because of its stats or defense, but because it draws enemy aggro towards its allied Armored units. This buys its allied DPS units time to do their thing and deal damage without fear of retaliation.

Substitute picks for this team include all of the SS and S-Tier units on our PvP Tier List.

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvP)

Budget PvP Team

If you are just starting out and only managed to get a single UR mobile suit such as the S Gundam, you can cobble together this team by either farming their corresponding blueprints (Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt)), or chancing upon them while pulling on the game's gacha banners.

None of the mobile suits listed here are limited mobile suits. The ones you can't farm from Fragment Quests, you can pull from most, if not, all of the banners, including the regular MS and Pilot Unit Assembly Banners.

With enough investment, this team will do fairly well in Arena, though it'll struggle against the meta team compositions with the best recently released units.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - S Gundam Icon[M0239] S Gundam • While it's a very hard unit to pull for, most players should have the S Gundam and its signature pilot from the MS and Pilot selectors all new players receive when they make their accounts.
• A powerful crit-based Bombardment mobile suit that will serve as one of your team's main ranged damage dealers.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam Full Armor Icon[M0010] Gundam Full Armor (Thunderbolt) • The Gundam Full Armor (Thunderbolt) or FATB for short is a defensive juggernaut of a mobile suit. It's a good starter unit that does quite well in protecting its allies and keeping enemy units busy.
• It's a mobile suit you can earn blueprints for and unlock for free via Fragment Quests, and unlike its other fellow farmable units, is actually a pretty good unit that you can get lots of mileage on.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gyan Icon[M0317] Gyan • The Gyan draws enemy aggro towards the FATB, buying time for this team's DPS units to do their thing. It is one of the most effective mobile suits in the game.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam Ez8 Icon[M0238] Gundam Ez8 • The Ez8 improves the crit rate and critical ATK of all its allies, but these buffs are more potent for Bombardment units. This is why we have 2 Bombardment units in this team comp.
• Not only is this unit something you can pull for in the game's regular gacha banners, but it can also be acquired through some UR MS Selector tickets.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Magna Martell (Awaken) Icon[M0296] Magna Martell (Awaken) • While previously a limited unit, the Awakened Magna Martell can now be pulled from the regular gacha banners. Use this MS as a multi-purpose all-arounder.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gedlav Icon[M0324] Gedlav • The Gedlav is a unique Bombardment unit in the sense that it's extremely tanky thanks to a 99% damage resistance buff that stays active for as long as its HP stays at or above 90%. When within this HP threshold, the Gedlav also benefits from damage and movement speed buffs.

If you don't have these units, you can replace them with some of these powerful mobile suits that you can also acquire by pulling from the game's gacha banners. Again, none of the mobile suits listed here are Limited units found only in specific banners.

Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - ZZ-GR Icon[M0341] ZZ-GR Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam + G-Fighter Icon[M0333] Gundam + G-Fighter Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Baund Doc Icon[M0371] Baund Doc
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Sinanju Stein Icon[M0286] Sinanju Stein (NT Version) Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Char[M0089] Char's Z'Gok Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gottrlatan Icon[M0352] Gottrlatan
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Over.on Icon[M0257] Over.on Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Rick Dom (Thunderbolt) Icon[M0311] Rick Dom (Thunderbolt) Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Fafnir Icon[M0365] Fafnir ]
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Messer Type F01 Icon[M0269] Messer Type F01 Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gaplant Icon[M0312] Gaplant Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Zanneck Icon[M0319] Zanneck

All these units listed above range from being above average to SS-tier picks for Arena. If you happen to have some Limited units from our S and SS-Tier PvP Tier List, they should fit well somewhere in this team to give it a good boost in power.

Dolphin PvP Team

If you consider yourself a medium-spender in this game, or you've managed to earn and save up plenty of diamonds to afford to be able to pull for more than a few UR mobile suits, then you might want to consider aiming for a few of the best MSs the game has to offer. In particular, having just Gyan, Zeong, and Ez8 can get you into the Elite Arena, provided you already have enough investments in your key units.

That said, the following team consists of a mix of the top non-limited mobile suits paired with a couple of top-tier meta mobile suits.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Zeong Icon[M0056] Zeong • Although it's been a while since its release, the Zeong is still a very serviceable mobile suit that remains to be one of the premier DPS threats. It will serve as one of your team's main damage dealers.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Messer Type F01 Icon[M0269] Messer Type F01 • A substitute for the Gyan+Armored unit combo, the Messer does the same thing by provoking enemy units and forcing them to attack it first for the first 8 seconds of combat. This mobile suit isn't as tanky as the top-tier Armored units but can buy enough time for your DPS units to go ham on the enemy team without fear of retaliation.
• If you have the F91 (Full Power), it'll do an even better job in this specific role.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam Ez8 Icon[M0238] Gundam Ez8 • The Ez8 is a non-limited support that dramatically improves the entire team's damage output by buffing their crit rate and critical ATK.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gedlav Icon[M0324] Gedlav • Another non-limited UR, this mobile suit has emerged as one of the best Bombardment units in the game thanks to its ability to withstand damage, as well as its ability to deal it.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Sinanju (Generic) Icon[M0408] Sinanju • Think of the Sinanju (Generic) as a supercharged Yellow Sazabi, as it's a self-sustaining unit with Bullseye, but this time the Bullseye can be activated even after the first 18s of combat, and it can reach 100% crit rate even without Ez8. While it doesn't need Ez8 to function, it still benefits from having it alongside it to buff its critical ATK. If you don't have the Generic Sinanju, look to add your next best available unit in this spot.

Once again, feel free to replace the units you don't have with the listed units above. If you have mobile suits from the SS and S-tier of our PvP Tier List, they're likely very good candidates to replace units you're missing.
