The primary way for players to get modules is to play Cooperative Battle mode. They can either join a co-op battle that is already in progress, or start one themselves.
Depending on the color and difficulty of the co-op battle, players will get certain modules. The better their mobile suits performed during the battle, the higher their chances of getting better quality modules.

Gundam UCE periodically releases iterations of the Raid Battle event where players have to cooperate and take down a special raid boss.
Beating the raid boss and performing well can win players special modules that can only be obtained through that special iteration of Raid Battle.
