Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) Analysis

An Inferior Version of Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility

The Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) is very similar to the Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility given that they're both crit-based Green-type Generic category mobile suits whose EX skills deal 520% ATK bypass DEF while granting a 60% crit rate. Both these units also restore 6% of their EX gauge each time they land a critical strike.

While the two have plenty of similarities, the Unicorn PF is better given how it has slightly more beam damage while also being much a very accurate unit. The Unicorn PF also has a crit ATK boost, as well as an EX skill effect that jams Psycho-Frame Type mobile suits. All these are features the Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) simply cannot compete with. It has less beam damage buffs, with one of them activating only at 50% HP or below, which is really bad given how you want your units to stay as healthy as possible. It has no accuracy buffs whatsoever, no critical ATK buff, and no debuffs either.

The only thing the Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) is better than the Unicorn PF at is how its Third Weapon deals 70% more projectile damage, but that itself isn't very impressive.

Overall, the Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) is an okay unit that you can view as an inferior version of the Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility. It's less versatile, much less accurate, and deals less beam and critical damage than its fellow Green Unicorn unit. It's not bad by any means as there are some really bad UR mobile suits out there, but it's not particularly great either.

Spams EX With Full Transcendence

The Unicorn Gundam (NT-D)'s EX restoration skill on critical hit is locked behind max Transcendent Lv. Without this, it won't be able to spam its EX skill. Among the other Transcendent skill are a 36% beam damage buff and a 70% Third Weapon projectile damage buff. If you want the Unicorn to deal as much damage as it's capable of, Transcend this to its highest level. Do note, however, that there are plenty of mobile suits that are much stronger and better worth your hard-earned Rainbow Haro coins.

Potential Unleashed is also very important on this MS given that it's an EX spammer, and you'll want both the crit rate buff and ATK bypass damage at their maximum potency.

The C0036 version of Banagher Links is the best pilot you can have for the Unicorn (Gundam NT-D) for the 13% critical rate and critical ATK buffs he gives to the mobile suit, which, in turn, makes it that much more deadly once it activates its EX Skill.

On top of those, Banagher also grants up to 263% more ranged sense, which means more damage for the Unicorn Gundam (NT-D).
