Don't expect to win early on, especially if you are an F2P player who just started playing recently. However, even if you keep losing, it's best to use up all your six attempts at Arena matches every day, as this will reward you with Arena Medals, which you can use to buy gacha tickets and Blueprints of some mobile suits like the Banshee and Char's Zaku II. While these aren't good units for battle, they can be good Sub MSs due to their sub skills.
Char's Zaku II, in particular, is extremely valuable as it is a Fragment Quest unit, which means that getting it to Potential Lv. 5 will grant you Rainbow Haro Coins should you get more blueprints afterward.
Also, even if you lose all your Arena matches for the day, you will still get Arena Points, which contribute to your overall rank by the end of the season. Your overall rank is not determined by your wins or losses, but by your total number of Arena Points. The more Arena Points you have, the higher your rank. The higher your rank, the more rewards you will earn.
So, if you use up all six Arena attempts, you will still rank higher than many players, especially those who miss multiple days of fighting in the Arena - even if they win most of their battles and you lose most of yours, or their team's CP is higher than your team's CP by millions of points.

When building PvP teams, you'll want to use the best units available to you. Unit quality is one of the most important factors in a match, other than overall CP and type/category advantages. Try not to spend your Diamonds on the regular gacha banners, as the game's best units tend to be exclusive to either the Extreme or Super Limited Gacha Banners. Sometimes, they get featured in the Event Unit Assembly banners too.
For example, the Generic version of the Sinanju will always greatly outperform its Raid-type counterpart, even if they're both crit-based Green-type DPS units. The V2A Gundam is much more effective in battle than the Nu Gundam, despite both being Red-type Generic units with a focus on healing. Having top-tier units like these and building a powerful team around them should be your main priority if you want to start your journey of climbing the Arena rankings.
Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvP)

Even among the lowest of Arena rankings, you might find trouble winning matches, especially if your team isn't at or close to the max level. Make sure the units in your team are at the highest level they can reach, and this applies to their unit level, Custom Level, Skill Rate Level, and Potential Unleashed Level.
Transcending your key mobile suits often grants the most impactful of bonuses, but these require Rainbow Haro coins. This is a scarce resource in the early to mid-game, but you'll get around 2,500 points to start with, which should be enough to get 1 MS to Transcendent Lv. 5. Do this and do not distribute them across multiple mobile suits. This is because Transcendent Lv. 5 is where mobile suits get their strongest Transcendent Skills, and the lower Transcendent Levels are usually not nearly as important.
Lastly, there are modules and unit enhancement that you can equip or perform on your units to make them even stronger.
While there are a lot of different ways to strengthen your mobile suits, these aren't free by any means, so try to acquire units worth investing in first. Try to determine whether or not the investment you're making is worth it, especially if we're talking about Transcending.
What Upgrade Should I Do First?

Increasing your Player Rank won't just unlock new features for you. This also increases the maximum level of your units, which is very important in strengthening your units and raising your overall CP. Every 10 levels, you get to unlock a new Custom Level, which grants some of the most impactful stat boosts in the game.
Even if your opponents' units are better, you might still win if your units are at a much higher level than theirs. Inversely, if things were the other way around, you might lose to a mediocre team even if you're using the best units in the game.
How to Raise Your Player Rank Fast

Just because you've unlocked all of the game's modes and features, that doesn't mean you should stop progressing in the Main Quest. Grinding through the Main Quest rewards you with Diamonds for every star condition of every mission, which you can then use to try your luck and pull for powerful meta units that can help you rack up wins not just in Arena, but in every other game mode as well. On top of that, the Main Quest is also a good source of player EXP, which again, raises your units' maximum level.
Try getting 3 stars on every mission to get the maximum amount of Diamonds you could earn from these story missions.

Type advantages and aggro rules are important features in the game that you have to understand if you want to win more matches. These are crucial in helping you identify which units counter what, which units to use when heading into battle, and what your deployment formation should look like.
Type advantage is a system that makes mobile suits deal more or less damage against enemies of different types. Red beats Green, Green beats Blue, and Blue beats Green. Meanwhile, Purple and Yellow deal bonus damage to each other.
These types of advantages tie into how aggro works, as mobile suits will aggro onto the closest MS they have a type advantage against if there aren't any opponents directly in front of them. However, these change when status effects like Target Focus, Provoke, and Stealth come into play.
Understanding these basic concepts should help you form the base of your Arena team, as well as both your offensive and defensive formations.

Understanding what each mobile suit is capable of and strategizing accordingly will be something that can help you steal wins against high CP teams that you normally wouldn't be able to beat.
One thing to take note of is how status effects and powerful gimmicks have completely taken over the meta. Plenty of today's most popular units are unbeatable if you don't have the right tools to deal with them, as these can either negate or dramatically reduce the damage your units deal. If you don't have a counterpick ready, these can easily take on your entire team alone and still win.
Inversely, not adjusting your team composition or formation based on your matchup could cost you matches that you would have otherwise won.
For example, a Gundam F91 (Full Power) has Absolute Evade, evasion, and a 99% EX damage reduction buff, so the only ways to beat it is by inflicting Unavoidable on it to prevent it from evading, inflicting Damage or EX Damage Taken debuffs to make it possible to harm it using EX skills, or using a combination of Bullseye + high accuracy to bypass its evasive skills. Without these tools, the F91 will not take any serious damage and will wipe out your entire team one by one.
Having your own set of overpowered units that serve as counters to meta picks or require counterpicks themselves should help you win way more matches, which ties into the second tip we gave in this guide.

Once you've quickly gotten your rank to 161, you'll be able to participate in events. While events do not directly influence your Arena ranking, these hand out some of the best rewards in the game such as Diamonds, UR Custom Tickets, Gears, and even Rainbow Haro Coins and gacha tickets.
Similar to your Arena experience, you may not be able to make it far in the event, but grabbing what you can from events should give you a significant amount of resources over time, which would fuel your mobile suit's upgrade plans.

If you need to make your units stronger with Modules, get Sub MSs you can pair with your strongest units, or farm more resources to level them up, you may want to consider getting a Haro Pass or Haro Pass PRO subscription.
The Haro Pass PRO subscription allows you to skip Cooperative Quests (to farm Modules faster), gives you more Grand Coins (to get more copies of units), and even offers other perks like fighting battles three times faster or getting free Diamonds and even UR MS and Pilot selectors.
