EX Unlocks Multiple Buffs

The Gundam F91 is another mobile suit whose EX skill hits the lowest HP enemy unit, potentially executing a low-health opponent. It's also known for its big spike in power for 10 seconds after using its EX skill, entering a state where plenty of its conditional buffs activate.

First, let's talk about its EX skill. It targets the lowest HP enemy unit for 578% of its ATK as damage, while also granting it 50% more beam damage as well as 36% more evasion. At maximum Transcendent Lv., this MS can use its EX skill early into the battle given how it restores 50% of its EX gauge right when the battle begins.

Its regular skills are somewhat like extensions of its EX skill, given that 2 out of 3 skill effects are activated for 10 seconds after using its EX skill. These include a 48% movement speed increase as well as a 41% EX gauge recovery buff. That said, the F91 will use its EX skill more than the average MS given that it benefits from both a 50% EX gauge restoration skill as well as the 41% EX gauge recovery buff that we just discussed. Its other Transcendent Skills bring even more buffs after using its EX skill, which we'll talk more about in the next sub-section of this analysis.

Needs To Survive Until It Activates Its EX Skill To Pop Off

At maximum Transcendence, the F91 benefits from 25% evasion, 36% beam damage, and 50% EX gauge restoration right when the battle begins as we talked about earlier. The buffs don't stop there, however, as it receives more bonuses for 10 seconds after using its EX skill. These include a 50% beam damage buff, a 50% evasion buff, and a 50% accuracy buff.

To keep track of all its EX skill buffs, at maximum Potential and Transcendent Levels, the F91 will benefit from a total of 100% more beam damage, 86% evasion (111% if you include the permanent Transcendent Skill buff), 50% more accuracy, 48% more movement speed, and 41% better EX gauge recovery. All it needs is to use its EX skill and it'll become one of the most well-rounded units in the game.

One notable downside to the F91 is how it's reliant on using its EX skill for most of its buffs to activate. That said, you won't get much value out of it if it ends up dying before it gets to use its EX skill and activate its buffs. Another downside is that it's both a Protagonist Unit and a Gundam-Type, meaning it'll be vulnerable to bonus damage from 2 of the most popular units in the game: the Zeong and Char's Z'Gok respectively. Pitting the F91 against these units increases the likelihood of it dying before it gets to use its EX skill.
