How to Make Friends - Gundam UC Engage

Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage allows players to make friends with other players and support each other. Read on to learn how to make friends in the game and the benefits of having them.

How to Get Friend Medals

Friend Medals Are Earned By Borrowing/Lending Units For Support

Friend Medals - Gundam UC Engage

Friend Medals can be earned by borrowing units from other players using the support feature. In matches that allow this, players will have the option to use units that belong to other players before they set their formations. This borrowed unit will take up the rightmost slot of the team. Doing so will reward you with Friend Medals.

On the other hand, you will also receive Friend Medals for each time another players uses one of your own units. You can have 5 units in your support formation, one for each type. It's recommended that you put your most powerful units in your support formations because the more powerful they are, the more likely it will be for other players to borrow your units.

A maximum of 100 Friend Medals can be earned each day.

How to Make Friends

Via the Friends Menu

1

At the Home Screen, tap the "Friends" button by the left-hand side, under "Achievements."
2

If you don't have any friends yet, you can go to the Player Search option at the bottom of the Friends Menu.
3

Once you're in the Friends Menu, either tap "ID Search" if you have a player ID of a person you want to be friends with, or select a player to send a friend request to from the list.

Via Choosing Support Mobile Suits

1

Before doing a mission in the Main Quest, you will be given the option to choose a support mobile suit that will act as your sixth MS. You can select your own mobile suit, or select someone else's.
2

Win the quest.
3

Once the battle is finished, you'll be asked if you want to send a friend request to the player whose MS you used.

Benefits of Having Friends

Earn Friend Medals and Buy Items

Earn Friend Points - Gundam UC Engage

The main draw of having friends is that if you use their support mobile suits, you will earn Friend Medals - a special type of currency that you can use at the Friend Medals Shop.

The Friend Medals Shop sells AP, Skill Rate Data discs, level 1 to 3 leveling materials, and even blueprints for SR and R rarity mobile suits. We recommend using your friend points to either buy AP or enough blueprints to form the Zock - an armored SR unit that can be a very useful tank if you don't have any UR-rarity Armored units yet.

Fight Their Team in Mock Battle

Friends in Mock Battle - Gundam UC Engage

Another benefit of having friends is that you can fight the teams they've set in Mock Battle. For example, if you want to test out how your new mobile suit will fare against common foes in the Arena, you can ask a friend who has those mobile suits to set them as their Mock Battle Team then fight to your heart's content.

This is a way for you to test how fast your mobile suit can use its EX Skills, how much DEF it has, and how long it can generally last on the battlefield.
