Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D) Analysis

Prevents Healing With EX Skill

The Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D), commonly referred to as "PF NT-D" is a powerful mobile suit with plenty of things going for it that make it really good as a unit.

The first is its EX skill, which is a single target attack that deals 693% ATK, while also inflicting the Disable Restoration status effect, preventing the target from healing. Additionally, it buffs its own beam damage by 60% for 20 seconds. This EX skill can be extremely useful for both PvE and PvP when you need to take out an enemy unit that relies on healing like The-O. This EX skill can be cast early and frequently, thanks to the 50% EX gauge restoration buff that it gets from its Transcendent Lv. 5 skill, and its ability to restore 6% EX gauge each time it lands crits.

Crit-Based Anti-Psycho-Frame Type Unit

The PF NT-D benefits from a 66% crit rate against mobile suits with the Disable Restoration debuff from its EX skill. Outside of this, it does not benefit from any other crit rate buffs (except for crit rate buffs that it could get from pilots), so landing its EX skill is of utmost importance.

Each successful critical strike grants it 6% EX gauge restoration as discussed above, and 17% more beam damage for 10 seconds (max 85%). However, fully Transcending also allows it to restore 10,000 HP with each successful crit. To make the most use of these skills, it's highly recommended to run an Ez8 alongside it to increase its critical rate and critical ATK.

This mobile suit also has an anti-Psycho-Frame Type ability and can inflict Jamming on enemy units that fall under this unit category tag for a full 18 seconds, effective right when the battle begins. While it's reliant on RNG on whether or not a Jammed opponent will deal just 1 damage or the full amount, it's still very nice to have and can severely limit a Psycho-Frame Type's damage output, which also means your team can potentially receive much less damage. Notable Psycho-Frame Type mobile suits include all the versions of the Sazabi, Nu Gundam, Unicorn, Banshee, and Sinanju variants, and more.

Against Jammed targets, the PF NT-D deals 111% more critical ATK and is 111% more accurate against them too. Unfortunately, it can only Jam Psycho-Frame Type enemy units, so you'll need another mobile suit that can inflict Jamming for it if you want to benefit from these buffs. The best would be Dag Doll, as it can inflict it with each attack and enable the PF NT-D to deal massive crit damage at a hyper-accurate rate.

Its other bonuses include a flat 58% beam damage buff and a 600,000 damage cap increase. The latter is particularly noteworthy as it is the first MS to be released on the Global servers to have a damage cap set this high. This enables it to deal ridiculously high amounts of damage that other mobile suits simply cannot do.

Stronger When Transcended and Potential Unleashed

Transcending this unit fully grants it 25% accuracy, 36% beam damage, the ability to start matches with its EX gauge already halfway filled, and the 10,000 HP heal whenever it makes a critical hit. The latter two, in particular, are worth spending your precious Rainbow Haro coins on, since these really help elevate the MS. The EX gauge restoration buff makes it so that it disables healing, grants the bonus beam damage, and allows it to benefit from its only crit rate buff much sooner than it would without Transcendent Lv. 5. The heal on crit, on the other hand, greatly improves its survivability.

Potential Unleashed affects its EX Skill, and you might need a high Potential Lv. if you don't have an Ez8 to pair the PF NT-D with. Because its only crit rate buff is against units with the Disable Restoration debuff, you want to make that as long as possible. Having it at Potential Lv. 0 will limit this debuff to a duration of only 6 seconds instead of 10, so that's 4 seconds less where you benefit from that 66% crit rate buff.

Overall, the PF NT-D is a very powerful MS for PvE, and a good MS for PvP too. Its potent offense and sustain can carry a PvE team's offensive load while being very hard to kill. For PvP, it's very impactful but it's not better than the Magna Martell (Awakened). What stops it from going to the SS tier for PvP is that it needs additional setup to perform exceptionally well. The current PvP meta is essentially a race to kill the enemy unit's tanks given the overwhelming presence of the Gyan, so it'll likely end up attacking Armored units.

No Armored unit falls under the Psycho-Frame Type unit category tag, so you'll need something like a Dag Doll to inflict Jamming on opponents first just so you could enable the PF NT-D to land much stronger crits and be much more accurate. While this isn't a problem for plenty of players, it is for the Elite players with a team full of key units that all contribute to the team's success.

Despite it not particularly being the best in PvP, you should still pull for the Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D), as its overall value is just too good to pass up.

The PF NT-D is reliant on having this version of Banagher Links aboard it. He grants this mobile suit a 32% crit rate buff, which is huge since the PF depends on landing critical strikes to benefit from key buffs. Banagher also grants up to 472% ranged sense, which provides a huge boost in power. Finally, he also grants 24% more accuracy, bringing it up to 49% in general, and 150% against Jammed targets.
