Over.on Analysis

High Damage EX Spammer Tank

In the series, the Over.on is essentially a different variant of The-O. As such, these two units approach battle in a similar way. Both of these units deal big single target damage with their EX Skill, especially when the target is inflicted with the unavoidable debuff. Against a target with this status effect, the Over.on deals a whopping 2020% of its ATK as damage, and it can fire it off as fast as every 3 seconds thanks to its 4.2% EX gauge restoration for every time it takes damage. The bonus 866% damage against targets with unavoidable can be capitalized by teaming it up with units that can inflict this debuff, like the Hyaku Shiki and the Hamma-Hamma.

This MS needs to be in the middle of the battle taking hits to maximize its EX gauge firing rate. To help it survive this, the Over.on has a 25% max HP buff, as well as receives 25% less damage from enemies. However, it doesn't have any guard rate or evasion to really help it last long. A good way to take advantage of the Over.on's EX Gauge recovery on-hit is by placing it in front of enemies with high hit counts, like the different variants of the Qubeley and their Funnels weapon.

To sum it up, the Over.on is more of an offensive Armored unit that can deal serious damage at a very good rate, but its defensive capabilities are lackluster for an Armored unit. Moreover, its options for pilot is limited, as all of the other pilots who grant bonuses for Armored units also have big bonuses for units with the Heavy Armor category, which the Over.on will miss out on. This unit strangely isn't categorized as Heavy Armor, and is the only Armored unit to not have it so far.

Needs Transcending To Help It Survive

All of the defensive skills this unit has are locked behind Transcendent levels. Without these, the Over.on will not survive for too long, which isn't ideal at all since you'll want it to keep firing its high damage EX Skill and take out a few enemies before it dies. If you plan on fielding in this unit, consider prioritizing getting its Transcendent skills.

If you wish to use the Over.on, Mashiro Okusu is by far the best pilot for this mobile suit. Mashiro gives the resistances that the Over.on needs, and also strengthens its EX skill's damage, which is the centerpiece of its kit. Other armored units can give it some protection and benefits, but nowhere nearly as valuable as the buffs Mashiro grants.
