Pilots enhance a mobile suit's stats and give them special buffs. Read on to learn the stats that Pilots have, as well as how their Skills buff mobile suits in battle.

Combat Power (CP) represents a Pilot's strength. Just like with Mobile Suits, the higher the pilot's CP is, the more powerful he or she is.

To increase a pilot's CP, you'll have to either level the character up or unleash their Potential by getting more copies of that pilot.

Ranged Sense determines how much damage your pilot's ranged attacks will deal to the enemy with their mobile suit. The higher this stat is, the more damage they'll be able to deal with their mobile suit's ranged weapons.
Note that this stat does not affect the damage done by a mobile suit's EX Skill, which is often determined by the suit's ATK instead.
What Should You Look For in a Mobile Suit and Pilot?

Just like Ranged Sense, Melee Sense determines the value of the close-range attacks the pilot will make with their mobile suit. The higher this stat is, the more damage they'll be able to dish out with melee weapons.
Note that if your mobile suit's EX Skill is a melee attack, Melee Sense does not affect its damage. Just like with ranged weapons, melee EX Skills are determined by the mobile suit's ATK stat instead.

Reaction determines the chance of your pilot's mobile suit to guard or evade attacks during battle. The higher the Reaction stat, the better the chances.
The ratio of reaction to guard rate is around 25:1%, while the reaction to evasion ratio is at 10:1%.

Resistance is similar to the mobile suit's DEF since it determines a pilot's resistance to damage. The higher your pilot's Resistance, the less damage their mobile suit takes from enemies during battle.
But this will not protect your pilot's mobile suit from damage caused by EX Skills, just damage from regular attacks.

Skills are abilities unique to every pilot. When certain conditions are fulfilled, they get triggered automatically, giving buffs to your mobile suit's performance.

For example, the pilot Roux Louka's first skill buffs her own Ranged Sense at the start of a battle if she's using a "Blue" type mobile suit. Her second skill meanwhile gives buffs to her mobile suit's accuracy if it has the "Prototype" and "White Mobile Suit" categories.
This is why it's important to match pilots with mobile suits that have categories that correspond to their most powerful skills.
