How Good is the Zock?

A Solid Early-Game Tank

In the early stages of Gundam UC Engage, building a balanced team to handle quests and early PvE challenges is key. This phase often requires players to make the most out of accessible SR and R units before unlocking rarer UR Mobile Suits. Zock, as an SR Armored Mobile Suit, shines as a defensive unit for players working with a limited roster.

Zock’s tanking abilities make it a valuable early-game asset. Its damage resistance and self-healing skills allow it to absorb enemy hits, protecting weaker, damage-dealing units in your lineup. In many early battles, where enemies lack the high power of late-game stages, Zock’s ability to withstand sustained attacks can keep your frontline secure and your bombardment or sniper units protected at the back.

Additionally, Zock’s role as a frontline defender makes it a strong choice for players who haven’t yet acquired a UR Armored Mobile Suit. In the early game, most UR units may be beyond reach, so Zock can serve as a budget-friendly alternative, providing dependable survivability until stronger armored UR units are available. Although Zock’s offensive power is limited, its defensive prowess is enough to help you get through quests and gain diamonds.

Which Pilot Should You Assign in the Zock?

Any Pilot Which Can Improve Resistance

You can assign any pilot who boosts resistance at the start of each battle to the Zock. While UR Pilots are valuable additions, you’ll likely want to reserve them for your stronger mobile suits.

Fortunately, pilots with resistance-boosting skills aren’t hard to come by, and even R pilots are well-suited for Zock since it’s valued more for defense than offense. Ramba Ral, Glemy Toto (New Soldier), and Hayato Kobayashi are just a few of the many pilots who can bolster Zock’s defenses effectively.

Which Armored MS is Best as Zock's Replacement?

Penelope, Xi Gundam, The-O, and Full Armor Gundam Thunderbolt Stand Out

If you're advancing to the late stages of the game, it's best to pull for the Penelope, Xi Gundam, The-O, or manufacture the Full Armor Gundam Thunderbolt using blueprints that you can acquire via Fragment Quests. These armored units are some of the best in the game and are especially valuable for both PvE content and the Arena, where their durability, overall stats, Transcendent, and EX Skills make a significant difference.
