Rerolling in Gundam U.C. Engage is easy and only takes a few minutes per reroll. If you want to start with a powerful mobile suit other than the S Gundam, you can simply claim all the rewards the game gives you at the start and spend your first 30 rolls on the 72-Hour Limit MS Unit Assembly / Pilot Unit Assembly banners, or the Super and Extreme Limited Gacha Banners.
You're more likely to pull UR units with the 72-hour banners, but there are some units exclusive to the Super and Extreme Limited Gacha Banners.
If you don't get the units you want according to our PvE tier list, you can try again.

Every new player gets UR Selector Tickets for both Mobile Suits and Pilots when they start. Though there are a lot of other good mobile suits up for grabs, the best mobile suit to get by far is the S Gundam with Roux Louka as its pilot.
The S Gundam offers decent performance as a Bombardment mobile suit with high long-range damage and high accuracy. But its most vaunted feature is its high critical rate - which is amplified by Roux Louka's Ranged Sense and Accuracy buffs.
While the S Gundam struggles in comparison to the game's top DPS units, it's still a cut above the rest of the units from the selector ticket.
UR Selector Guide - Who Should You Pick?

When first playing Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage, most of the game's content is locked behind Player Ranks. If you take too long to reach Player Rank 50 (or at least Player Rank 40), you'll miss out on potential resources like Diamonds, leveling items, and Modules.
If you're just starting out in Gundam U.C. Engage, make sure to get to this rank as soon as possible. Luckily, with the Mobile Suit Alteration Plan Fragment Quest released in 2025, ranking up can be done very easily, and you could reach 30 levels below max in just around 15 minutes.
How to Raise Your Player Rank Fast

Diamonds are relatively easy to come by in Gundam UC Engage, even if you are an F2P player. However, you will want to save Diamonds for whenever new banners come out in the game, especially the Super Limited and Extreme Limited Unit Assembly Banners.
Another great way to use your Diamonds is to restore AP with them. When you're grinding your Fragment Quests for blueprints and Rainbow Haro coins, you're very likely to run into an AP problem and not have enough for all the UR units. You could buy 500 AP daily from the Coin Shop, but that amount won't be enough for you to be able to do all the UR Fragment Quests thrice. That said, try your best to save your Diamonds and use them only on Unit Assembly and AP restoration.

The game's regular gacha banners are extremely saturated with non-meta mobile suits that you wouldn't find much use for once you have a team full of meta units. Moreover, a majority of the game's finest units can only be found exclusively on the Extreme and Super Limited Gacha Banners. There's a pity system that guarantees a UR mobile suit of your choice after 200 pulls from Limited Banners, and the unused pity points will be transformed into Rainbow Haro Coins once the banner expires.
That said, you get so much more out of pulling from limited gacha banners than pulling from the regular MS and Pilot banners, which seem like a waste of Diamonds.

Don't sleep on the Panel Missions when starting out because not only do you get extra Diamonds and leveling materials, but you also get gacha tickets and even a Guaranteed UR Mobile Suit Unit Assembly Ticket. Completing these objectives can give you a good power boost in the early game. Your goal as a Gundam UCE beginner should be to collect powerful UR rarity mobile suits, and these missions will grant you one on completion.

Skip Tickets allow you to auto-finish missions you have already completed with a 3-star ranking, making it a great way to farm for leveling and upgrade materials. Since you only need to spend Coins to buy Skip Tickets at the shop, make sure to buy them regularly and often to maximize your farming.
A good way to go about it is to buy 100 tickets every day, since these only cost 5 coins each while the succeeding tickets will cost you double that amount. These tickets will come in handy once you're in the process of generating Haro Coins from Fragment Quests, which we'll talk about later in this article.

In the Quests menu, there's a little button on the lower right-hand corner of the screen that says "Select All". It's the option to skip missions you've completed en masse, offering a quick and efficient way to choose which materials you want to farm for and what missions you'll need to complete to get them. This will save you so much time, as you won't have to make the effort to skip each mission individually.

The Fragment Quests, located in the Upgrade Quests menu, are missions that give you small amounts of fragments for specific mobile suits and pilots. These fragments, if you've accumulated enough of them, can be used to assemble a copy of the unit, or if you already have them, enhance a mobile suit EX Skill by unleashing their potential.
Once you've reached the maximum Potential Lv. of a UR rarity unit, fragments you earn will be automatically converted into Rainbow Haro Coins, a scarce and very valuable resource used for Transcending units. This makes Fragment Quests a must-grind, even in those missions where you don't like the UR rarity units you'll be getting fragments for.
One of the best things a Gundam UC Engage newbie can do is to set up a Rainbow Haro Coin farm as soon as they unlock Fragment Quests at Rank 30. These involve doing the maximum number of Fragment Quests every day until you get the units to Potential Lv. 5 and then consistently generating Rainbow Haro coins after. It's a very long grind until then, so the earlier you set it up, the better.
You should be spending most, if not all of your AP on all the Fragment Quests that reward you with Rainbow Haro Coins. Doing all three daily attempts of all UR Fragment Quests will cost well over 1,000 AP.

The game offers an option to select a support unit before setting up your team for battle. While in the unit selection menu, tap the refresh button at the top right of the screen to update the support unit list. This generates a new set of mobile suits to choose from, allowing you to find a specific Mobile Suit for your battles. This is especially helpful when completing Cooperative Quests or Raid Battles, as you can add a unit that counters powerful enemies.
The list is made up of Friends, Clanmates, and random players. To take advantage of this mechanic, add high-ranking players as Friends or join their Clan to gain access to powerful units that can support your team.

Not all Mobile Suits are created equal, so it's important to know which units are better for long-term investment.
Although R and SR units are generally weaker than UR ones, some can be particularly helpful, especially in the early game. Some of these include the Zock, which is an SR-rarity Armored unit with a self-healing ability. It can tide you over in the early game if you don't have an Armored unit yet at UR rarity.
Additionally, certain game modes and events require R or SR units to achieve 3 stars, so don’t overlook upgrading mobile suits just because they're SR/R rarity.
UR units are also susceptible to power creep, so make sure to check the current meta to know which UR units are worth upgrading and adding to your team.

The game's combat system is quite complicated, but understanding its different mechanics is an integral part of a player's success. If you do not put in the effort to understand the game on a deeper level, your ceiling as a player will not be that high.
Try to be analytical with how you approach the game. Analyze the team compositions in the battles you join, and when losing, try to figure out why exactly you lost. Mastery of the game's combat system will allow you to win so much more matches, even against teams with millions of CP higher than yours.
At the end of the day, Gundam UC Engage is a strategy game, so the deeper your understanding of the game, the better strategies you can employ to find success.

Purchasing Diamonds can make your Gundam UCE experience a winning one in both PvE and PvP, especially if you spend them on banners that feature top-tier meta-defining units.
There's only so much you can earn from the game's rewards, and with the game releasing tons of powerful and impactful mobile suits, it's easy to get left behind as you'll eventually run out of this premium resource.
If you do decide to purchase Diamonds, know that the Gundam UCE Web Store offers more Diamonds for the same price as the in-game store.
What is the Gundam UCE Web Store?

The Haro Pass Pro has tons of perks that'll dramatically improve your gameplay experience.
Not only does it reward you with Diamonds, it also makes Coop Battle I skippable, and eliminates the need for Coop II and III tickets. This essentially means you'll have access to better modules, and will have the ability to quickly farm modules by just skipping Coop I when you're too busy to grind.
More modules mean more Recycle Pts., which means you'll get more Unit Enhancement Pts. Speaking of Unit Enhancement, you'll have the ability to tweak your Unit Enhancement Setups without needing any discs, which is a game changer if you want to optimize your loadout depending on the event you're tackling.
The limit for the amount of Grand Coins you can earn per week is also very useful for purchasing blueprints and pieces of limited mobile suits you have, but this is more of an endgame thing as you won't earn very much in the early-mid parts of your playthrough.
Finally, you'll earn one guaranteed UR gacha ticket for both an MS and a pilot, and these might just be the meta-defining units or key Sub MSs you've needed.
