Red-type Support Unit

The Narrative Gundam's main purpose is to give buffs to other Red-type allies. Its EX Skill increases the damage of all Red-type mobile suits in the team for 20 seconds, increasing the damage they deal. Outside of this purpose, however, the Narrative Gundam is not very useful for other niches.

Support Power Goes Up Upon Transcendence

If you transcend the Narrative Gundam, its Transcendent Skills include increased damage for its third weapon, the [Strong Attack] Beam Rifle, as well as a second damage buff for Red-type mobile suit allies for 20-seconds after activating its EX Skill.

Jona Basta is almost necessary if you plan to field the Narrative Gundam in battle because he gives it the necessary buffs. His first skill increases his Reaction, which dictates the chances of the Narrative Gundam to evade or guard against attacks. It also comes with a melee sense upgrade.

The second skill meanwhile gives him ranged and melee sense buffs, which increases the Narrative Gundam's long-range and melee damage.
