Banshee (NT-D) Analysis

Self-Sustaining Melee Bruiser

The Banshee (NT-D) is a very durable melee fighter equipped with plenty of defensive skills that help it stay on the battlefield longer than the average mobile suit. While it was a very good unit in the earlier versions of this game, it no longer holds up that well given how its damage output lags way behind the top DPS and bruiser units, and its only defenses are heals and HP buffs.

Its EX skill deals 502% of its ATK to the highest HP enemy unit on the battlefield while also restoring 45% of its max HP. This EX skill can be activated early into the match when fully Transcended, as it restores 50% of its EX gauge when the battle begins. It also charges up faster than normal given its 46% EX gauge recovery buff from its Skill 2.

Other than the ones we've discussed, its only other non-Transcendent Skill is a 14% accuracy boost, which is nice to have, but that's not really enough for it to be able to deal with evasive units effectively.

These skills alone are rather lackluster, though having it at Transcendent Lv. 5 is a different story.

Transcendent Skills Increase Durability and Damage

Its Transcendent Skills make the Banshee (NT-D) give it some much-needed durability and damage. At max Transcendent Level, it'll benefit from a 25% max HP buff, a 70% projectile damage buff, a 50% lifesteal buff, and the 50% EX gauge restoration skill we touched on earlier.

This 70% projectile damage buff is the Banshee (NT-D)'s only damage buff, and all the other skills contribute to its overall survivability, so Transcend this unit to the highest level if you intend on using it for battle.

As with most other units, getting it to its highest potential will also do wonders for this MS as it'll increase the EX skill damage as well as the amount it heals.

Not The Best Bruiser

At first glance, this MS seems really hard to take down given all its defensive buffs. However, once you look at it closer, you'll notice that it's not as tough as it seems. It's not by any means a DPS powerhouse, so it'll get limited value out of its 50% life steal. Sure it has a lot of HP for enemies to go through, but today's top DPS units won't have much trouble eating through huge amounts of HP without resistances, guard rate, or evasion.

Overall, the Banshee (NT-D) is leagues behind both the top melee DPS units and the top bruisers of the game. It won't thrive in melee combat as much as something like the Titania, and it won't be as effective as a bruiser when compared to the Dag Doll and the Yellow Sazabi.

Ple-Twelve is the perfect pilot for the Banshee (NT-D) because of the massive Melee Sense buffs she gives to it. Her first skill buffs the Banshee (NT-D)'s melee sense for 30 seconds after the battle begins, and then for 5 seconds after every time its EX-Skill is activated.

The mobile suit also gets other melee sense and accuracy buffs because its Categories perfectly match Ple-Twelve.
