Evasive Sniper Unit

When you think of Sniper units, what usually comes to mind are long-range glass cannons that double down on offense while having little to no defense. The Gundam MK-II does not have any far-range weapons and is a highly evasive mobile suit, which makes it seem more like a Generic MS than a Sniper.

The Mk-II’s EX Skill hits a single targeted enemy unit for 537% of its ATK, while also stunning that target for 7 seconds. Additionally, it buffs the Mk-II’s evasion by 36% for 20 seconds. This EX skill can be fired off early into the battle, as it receives a 50% EX gauge recovery buff when the battle begins, though it has to be at Transcendent Lv. 5 to benefit from that buff.

Needs To Stay Healthy For Key Buffs

The Mk-II’s Skill 1 grants 120% movement speed, 60% evasion, a 90% max HP buff, and a 60% EX gauge recovery buff. However, outside of the 90% max HP buff, none of these are permanent.

Once its health falls below 50% HP, it’ll debuff its own movement speed and evasion buffs for the same amount, while lowering its EX gauge recovery rate by 260%. At this point, it’ll have a -200% EX gauge recovery debuff, so expect it to have a very hard time using its EX skill once it falls to half its HP.

It’s worth noting that once it falls below 50% HP, its self-inflicted debuffs won’t go away, even if it heals back above that 50% HP threshold. That said, keeping this MS healthy should be one of your top priorities if you have the Mk-II on your team.

Its Skill 2, on the other hand, includes a 100,000 damage cap buff, two 48% ranged damage buff that is active when it’s at or above 50% and 40% of its max HP, and a 17% accuracy buff for when it stays at or above its 30% HP threshold.

Stronger When Transcended

The Mk-II’s Transcendent Skills include a 25% accuracy buff, a 36% ranged damage buff, and the ability to start matches with its EX gauge already halfway filled. The first two improve combat effectiveness, while the last one allows the MS to fire off its EX skill early into the match, rendering an enemy MS useless for a full 7 seconds.

Struggles in Today’s Meta

Unfortunately for the Mk-II, it is both a Protagonist Unit and a Gundam-Type MS, which means it’ll take increased damage from the Zeong’s EX skill, and the presence of an enemy Char’s Z’Gok. Both these units are extremely powerful and popular, which really hurts the Mk-II’s PvP value.

The Zeong in particular poses a huge threat to the Mk-II, as its EX skill can one-shot this mobile suit, and should it survive, it’ll almost definitely fall below the 50% HP threshold, which for reasons already discussed above, is one of the worst things that could happen to this mobile suit.

Kamille grants this MS up to 234% ranged sense, 10% more accuracy, and 42% more accuracy against stunned targets. Having Kamille on board this MS not only increases its attack power, but its effectiveness against evasive mobile suits as well.

When fully Transcended and Kamille aboard, it gets 77% accuracy against stunned targets, so even very evasive targets will struggle against this duo, once it uses its EX skill of course.
