Gundam U.C. Engage has many variants of the famous Nu Gundam that you can acquire and use for your team. Read on to learn which of these variants is actually the best by learning what they do in battle.

What is the Best Nu Gundam?

Nu Gundam (Green)

The Green-type variant of the Nu Gundam is arguably the best Nu Gundam variant, given its versatility as a DPS threat, a healer, and a buffer. It has the highest damage potential out of all the Nu Gundams, and has the best healing capabilities as well.

What makes the Green Nu's heal the best isn't its potency since it grants just 22% like all the other Nu variants. It's the speed in which it can cast it that makes it special, thanks to the EX gauge recovery self-buff it receives, on top of the 50% EX gauge granted at the start of combat. A few seconds difference is a lot in Gundam UCE battles, and healing just a few seconds earlier can help an ally survive and turn the tide of the battle.

Its offensive capabilities are unmatched by the other Nu Gundams, as it has a damage cap increase, a stacking beam damage buff of up to 110%, another 36% beam damage buff, and a 26% damage buff granted to all Green-type mobile suits in the team. It also has 25% accuracy to help it successfully land its attacks, but that's not very much compared to the hyper-accurate mobile suits in the game.

It's worth noting that this variant of the Nu Gundam is excellent for Cooperative Battle, and is the best Green-type MS for that game mode. It is the best MS for Blue Cooperative Quests, and can reach higher than 100,000 DPS in that specific quest.

For these reasons, the Nu Gundam (Green) is considered by many as the best Nu Gundam variant, though some believe it's the Blue Sniper Nu, which we'll talk about next.

The RX-93ff Nu Gundam can also make the case for the best Nu Gundam variant at the time of writing, again for its versatility as both a damage threat and a healer. It's a Sniper unit equipped with long-range weaponry that makes it a threat right when the battle begins, allowing it to quickly take out unprotected Red-type opponents from a safe distance.

Its EX skill not only heals all allies like all the other Nu Gundams, but it also serves as an executioner skill that targets the lowest HP enemy unit and hits them for 644% of its ATK as damage. When fully Transcended, Sniper Nu can fire this off quickly thanks to the 50% EX gauge granted when the battle begins, as well as having an 8-second Bullseye self-buff each time it uses its EX skill, making it a threat to even the most evasive of opponents. Without the Bullseye buff, it's still fairly accurate, reaching up to 62% accuracy.

One thing that hurts the Sniper Nu's value is how it's a Blue-type MS, and that's already a type loaded with powerful mobile suits like the Zeong, Gundam GP02A, and the Titania. In PvP, it's usually not very beneficial to run many of the same Blue, Green, and Red types, so you may struggle to find a spot for it on your PvP teams if you already have the units mentioned.

While its damage output is lower than the Green Nu and its heal takes longer to fire off, the RX-93ff Nu Gundam's far-range weapons, executioner skills, and bullseye status effect make it a contender for the best Nu Gundam variant in the game.

Nu Gundam

Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Nu Gundam Icon[M0039] Nu Gundam

While the first two we've discussed could definitely make their cases for the title of the best Nu Gundam variant in Gundam UC Engage, the original Nu Gundam sadly isn't quite on par with its Green and Blue counterparts. However, this doesn't mean that the Nu Gundam is a bad mobile suit, by any means. It's still one of the best DPS threats for Red-type mobile suits, though it's worth noting that there aren't really any Red DPS units on par with the likes of the Zeong or the Yellow Sazabi, or even the Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility or the S Gundam.

What sets the original Nu Gundam apart is how its heal grants an additional 11% bonus to Red-type mobile suits, though again, not a lot of meta mobile suits can benefit from this other than a select few like the Penelope, Xi Gundam, Gundam GP04, and Banshee Norn. However, it is by far the worst healer among all the Nu Gundams since it takes very long to fire off without the 50% EX gauge granted when the battle begins. When it does get to fire it off, it's very likely that some allies have already fallen in battle.

The Nu Gundam also receives several beam damage buffs, though its overall damage output pales in comparison to the Green Nu, and its weapons aren't as good as the Sniper Nu. It has a 50% accuracy buff, but that only affects its Third Weapon.

Overall, the Nu Gundam is a solid mobile suit, but it's the worst Nu Gundam variant in the game, and by a good margin as well.
