Deals Heavy Damage With its EX Skill

The Zeta Gundam (Hyper Mega Launcher), commonly known as Zeta HML, is equipped with an EX Skill deals up to 537% of its ATK as damage to a single enemy unit. At the same time, it also restores 50% of its EX Gauge, meaning it'll have to land fewer hits on enemies to charge up its EX skill and use it again. It also benefits from a 64% EX gauge recovery buff for the first minute of combat. Just like the regular Zeta Gundam, this MS can spam its EX skill rather quickly.

One catch with this unit is that the first cast of its EX skill will take a long time if it's not fully Transcended, as it'll miss out on that buff that allows it to start matches with its EX gauge halfway filled. Other Transcendent Skills include a 50% crit rate buff for 20 seconds whenever its EX skill is activated, a 200,000 damage cap increase, 36% more beam damage, and 25% more accuracy.

As for its other skills, it has two 48% beam damage buffs that are active when it's at or above its 100% and 80% HP thresholds. It loses one or both of these when it drops to 99% and 79% respectively, so keeping this unit protected should be one of the things you prioritize when fixing your team's formation.

Transcendent Skills Gives 50% EX Skill Charge, Critical Rate Buff, and Damage Cap Increase

The Zeta HML is one of the best bombardment mobile suits, but only when you have it at high investment. We've already discussed the Transcendent Skills and why having the Zeta at max Transcendent Level is optimal. However, Potential Unleashed is also very important on this MS, as it will only restore 20% of its EX gauge after each EX skill use at Potential Lv. 0. It's still quite decent at Potential Lv. 0, though there are surely better picks than a Zeta HML without Potential Levels.

Kamille Bidan's C0190 version is the Zeta HML's signature pilot which grants it a 128% ranged sense buff and a separate 10-second 57% ranged sense buff granted every time the mobile suit uses its EX Skill. He also offers accuracy and crit rate buffs that help this MS perform even better.

However, while Kamille is the signature unit for this MS, the best pilots are actually Amuro Ray (Moon Gundam Ver) and Kincade Nau, as they allow the Zeta HML to deal bigger damage thanks to their bigger ranged sense buffs.
