Gundam U.C. Engage's mid-game has you building up your mobile suits' strength while ultimately getting you ready for the Arena. Read on to learn how to get to that end goal by making your mobile suits strong.
List of Contents

So you've gotten started with Gundam UCE, got yourself a good reroll, and have leveled within 30 ranks of the max player rank. Where should you go from here?
At this point in the game, your goals should be to level up to max Player Rank
The point of working towards these goals is to set your account up to compete with the game's best Arena
Just like in the Beginner's Guide, we'll discuss the essentials of what you need to know at this stage to get to where you need to go. We also linked articles that delve deeper into the topics discussed.

Just like before, your goal should be to stock up on more Diamonds. If you haven't cleared the Main Quest already, then you should finish it. It is still an excellent source of free Diamonds, and you should be strong enough to complete all the missions by now.
Your next best source of Diamonds is participating in events. Any events that offer Achievement Rewards usually give out good amounts of Diamonds, such as Clan Battle and others. However, with the exception of Clan Battle, events have also been locked for any players who are 15 levels or more below the maximum Player Rank.
There are also alternate game modes players should do to maximize their Diamond income, like Phantom Ace and the Arena.

Aim to stockpile around 100,000 Diamonds if you want to have at least one copy of the mobile suit, plus the chance to get more for Potential Unleashed. Getting a featured unit to P5 while the banner is still active will allow you to transcend all the way to T5 for free, saving you 2,250 Rainbow Haro Coins that would take months to accumulate.
The absolute worst case scenario is that you secure all 6 copies for a P5 featured unit with 360,000 Diamonds, and this is only if you get one copy of the mobile suit through the hard pity every 200 pulls.

Now that you've got a good amount of Diamonds, you should pull for meta mobile suits and pilots next. We have tier lists of which units are the best in either PvE or PvP, and you can try to get the top units listed by pulling from either the Super Limited or Extreme Limited Unit Assembly Banners.
Most of the game's meta

When it comes to judging a good mobile suit, check out its skills first and look for the following traits. Today's top picks come with powerful abilities such as buffs to their damage cap, status effects such as Unavoidable, Perfect Guard, and Stealth, the ability to do well against other meta picks, and the ability to perform well in a controlled PvE setting.

If you're looking at DPS options, the most important thing to consider is whether or not it has a buff to its damage cap. These buffs are of the utmost importance when it comes to DPS units, and units without these are bound to underperform in terms of damage by today's standards.
Powerful defensive status effects such as Perfect Guard and Absolute Evade, on the other hand, allow your units to essentially 1v6 teams that do not have the necessary counters to defeat your MS.
Looking at the mobile suits' skills and analyzing how they play out in the current meta is the most important thing to consider when deciding whether or not a mobile suit is "Meta" or worth pulling for.
What Should You Look For in a Mobile Suit and Pilot?

At this point in the game, you need to be working towards accumulating as many gears as you can and using them to perform Grade Up on meta mobile suits.
Grade Up is the newest upgrade system in Gundam UC Engage, which gives units a boost to their stats, as well as a set of permanent buffs dependent on their category.
Gears, the resource used for Grade Up, come in different rarities and categories, with each one being usable only on mobile suits of their respective rarity and category.
These Gears can only be acquired from events and paid Grade Up packs, so you should be even more diligent in grinding events every week, even if you purchase Grade Up packs.

Farming for Rainbow Haro Coins has been where most of your AP went during your early to mid-game grinding, and it still will be the case as you push for max player rank.
Consistently doing all UR Fragment Quests 3 times a day should help you grow your Haro Farms and eventually finish them.
How to Farm and Use Blueprints and Character Pieces

Once you've gotten enough Rainbow Haro Coins together, you can start Transcending your units. We recommend Transcending your best units first, meaning top-tier units in both PvE and PvP. Rainbow Haro Coins are one of, if not, the most important resource in the game, so you only want to spend them on units that give you the most bang for your buck.
Note that to fully transcend a unit all the way to Level 5, you will need a total of 2,250 Rainbow Haro Coins plus 17,200 regular Coins.
Plenty of events also grant Rainbow Haro Coins, but most of them are locked for players who are 15 levels or more lower than the maximum player rank. Clan Battle, which is accessible to anyone with a clan, notably grants a good number of these, so make sure you never miss them.

You have probably been participating in Co-op Battles and getting random Modules with various stat boosts. But now that you've assembled a good enough team, you will have to focus on getting the best Modules you can, especially for your most powerful units.
As of this writing, the best Modules to aim for are those that raise your mobile suit's HP, such as Augmentation Frame II. Since the current meta revolves around fielding units with powerful AOE EX skills, players will want to boost their units' HP in order for them to survive at least one or two EX skills (and hopefully take out the enemy team before a third).
It's not as easy as slamming on the highest CP Augmentation Frame II you have on your units. Higher-tiered modules come with Special Abilities, and you want to equip modules with these special abilities that complement their skills (e.g. "Critical Rate Up," etc.). That said, you should try to use all the AP you can for Cooperative Battles to eventually get Augmentation Frames that correspond to the type (color) of the MSs you want to put Modules into. Other modules, such as EX boosters and special raid modules, can be useful for PvE stages and events.
Take note that Augmentation Frame II modules can only be earned from Cooperative Battle III (Red), which is an extremely difficult PvE stage. Try to coordinate with your friends or clanmates when grinding for this, as this takes way too long to solo, or is way too much to handle for your team.

Constantly using up as much BP as you can on Cooperative Battles not only improves your chances of getting top-tier modules for your units but also gives you plenty of Clan Medals and Unit Enhancement Pts., as well by exchanging and trading weaker/unused modules.

By now, you may already have a team that is capable of competing in the Arena. Once you get a few good meta units and modules, you should aim to get the strongest mobile suits in the game and invest in them. The stronger they get, the more you'll win, and the more Diamonds, Arena Medals, and Recycle Pts you'll earn each week.
The most important thing you should know in Arena is that you need to be doing all 6 daily Arena battles for the entire week-long season to maximize your points and get the highest rank you're capable of achieving. Each battle you complete, be it a win or a loss, will grant you Arena Pts. The more points you have, the higher you will rank.

You may already know how to do Alteration, so now your objective should be to max out your mobile suits' Custom Level. The easiest way to do that is to hoard UR Custom Tickets, which fulfill all the material requirements you would have normally needed if you were raising your suit's custom level with Alteration materials.
If you were able to do the Mobile Suit Alteration Plan leveling method, you should have a large number of UR Custom Tickets with you. Do not spend these on non-meta mobile suits. UR Custom Tickets are actually a pretty scarce resource in the late game, and the huge amounts you'll earn earlier on may influence you otherwise. The UR Custom Ticket cost per Custom Up grows significantly past Lv. 10, so you'll want to avoid investing them in MSs you plan on using only for the short term.
The MS Alteration Plan isn't worth doing when it's no longer free, so the best way to get UR Custom Tickets now is by participating in events and winning them through Achievement Rewards.

As for raising a mobile suit's Skill Rate, all you need are Skill Rate Data Disks to raise your Skill Rate level, and you can get these for free throughout your playthrough as rewards or gifts, or by exchanging your Friend Medals at the Friend Shop.
Raising a unit's Skill Rate increases its HP, DEF, ATK, and CP stats, as well as giving it a shiny new border every 10 levels, so maxing out your unit's skill rate raises your unit's overall survivability (and style) in battle.

Continue diligently grinding events available to you, your Haro Farms, and your Cooperative/Raid Battles to eventually gather enough Player EXP to max out your player rank.
It's important to get to the max player rank of the current update because your mobile suit's maximum levels and Custom Levels are tied to it. If you don't raise your player rank, you will have trouble at the top ranks of the Arena, since all of them have maxed-out player ranks, maxed-out unit levels, and maxed-out Custom levels. Each event also scales with the max level in mind, so clearing those pesky Extra II and III stages will be extra difficult if your team isn't at, or at least close to, max level.
Once you do hit the max Player Rank, you will get Grand Coins instead of EXP, which you can then use to buy Blueprints and Pieces of Limited Assembly Banner mobile suits and pilots, respectively.
