Nightingale Analysis

Nightingale Skills

Transcendent Skill • At the start of battle, increase the Nightingale's Third Weapon accuracy by 50%.
• At the start of battle, increase the Nightingale's proximity damage by 36%.
• At the start of battle, increase the Nightingale's guard rate by 20%.
• Whenever the Nightingale guards against an attack, its Accuracy increases by 10% for 10 seconds (stackable up to 5 times).
Skill 1 • When battle begins, increase beam damage by 22%.
Skill 2 • Unlock Funnels.
• At the start of battle, increase beam damage by 13%.
• When guarding, the Nightingale's health is restored by 700 HP.

AoE Attacker and Buffer For PvE

The Nightingale is a mobile suit best known for its AoE damage and team-wide buffs. It's one of the first few limited mobile suits released on the global servers of Gundam UC Engage.

Its EX skill deals 406% ATK to all enemies, while also buffing its entire team's beam damage output by 30%. This is huge, especially considering how most of the game's best units rely on beam damage. However, this MS does not have any EX gauge recovery or restoration skills, so it's unsuitable for PvP given how it's very likely to die before it gets to fire off its EX skill. You can, however, find some success with this MS in Arena, especially in low-rank Standard Arena.

The Nightingale's regular skills involve a 22% beam damage buff, a 13% beam damage buff, and a 750 HP heal each time it guards an attack. Unfortunately, that last skill isn't accessible until this MS reaches Transcendent Lv. 5, since that's where it unlocks its only skill that increases its guard rate.

Transcendence Improves Damage, Accuracy, and Survivability

The Nightingale's Transcendent Skills include a 50% Third Weapon accuracy buff, a 36% proximity damage buff, a 20% guard rate, and a 10% stacking accuracy buff on guarding for 10 seconds (max 50%).

Potential Unleashed is also rather important on this MS as this increases the ATK% and beam damage buff potency of the Nightingale's EX skill.

Guard Rate Too Low, Bad Weapon Rotation

The Nightingale has several issues that prevent it from being a good mobile suit. One issue is its lack of any EX gauge-related buffs, hence its slow EX-casting speed. Another is how its guard rate is only at 20%, which isn't nearly enough for it to heal consistently, or to stack up the accuracy buff fast enough. It's also prone to getting killed immediately in Arena, which isn't a good sign at all.

Another big issue is its weapon rotation. It's another one of those Raid units with just 1 melee weapon and 2 subpar ranged weapons, so it'll approach battle by alternating between all three weapons instead of using just the melee weapon in close range. The 50% accuracy buff from its Transcendent Skills is granted to its Third Weapon instead of its actual best weapon, so that's yet another downside.

Overall, the Nightingale is a solid PvE mobile suit, but only when you've built it up and have it at high Transcendent and Potential Levels. However, there are better mobile suits that would be much better to invest your Rainbow Haro coins in.
