Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) Analysis

PvE Powerhouse

The Unicorn Gundam (NT-D), more commonly referred to as White Unicorn, is the first mobile suit released with access to 4 weapons instead of just 3 or 2. It is also one of the two mobile suits that can enter the Hyper Awaken state, with the other being the Black Lion.

The White Unicorn's EX skill deals 693% ATK damage, buffs the damage of all Blue-type allies by 26%, and allows it to enter the Hyper Awaken state for 10 seconds. This unit's Hyper Awaken status unlocks the MS' 4th weapon, grants Bullseye for the whole duration, and increases beam damage by 100%. This MS can activate its EX skill often and early into the match thanks to its Transcendent Lv. 5 skill that allows it to start matches with its EX gauge already halfway filled, as well as its 33% EX gauge recovery buff for the whole match.

As for its other skills, it benefits from a 25% accuracy buff and a 36% beam damage buff from its Transcendent skills, a stacking beam damage buff that maxes out at 42%, and another accuracy buff worth 17%.

Overall, the White Unicorn is an MS that's great against units with high evasion and even Absolute Evade, as it has decent accuracy and its Bullseye buff cancels out Absolute Evade. It also has very good damage, and its buffs to Blue-type allies can help out the likes of the Zeong and the Sazabi. All these make the White Unicorn a very powerful PvE mobile suit.

For PvP, however, its value is limited by being a Protagonist Unit and a Gundam-Type MS. The Zeong is one of the most popular and most powerful mobile suits in PvP right now, and it deals big bonus damage to Protagonist Units. Gundam-Type units, on the other hand, receive target priority and increased damage thanks to Char's Z'Gok, another top-tier unit that sees plenty of action in Arena. It's not its kit that makes it bad for Arena, but the strong presence of these top-tier counters.

Enters Hyper Awaken State Faster When Transcended

While the 25% accuracy and 36% beam damage buffs from its Transcendent skills are nice to have and make it a more powerful MS, it's the "restore 50% EX gauge when battle begins" skill that makes this unit much stronger when Transcended. However, because this unit is mainly a PvE unit, your Rainbow Haro Coins are likely better off spent on the MSs you need for PvP.
