Bypasses DEF and Stuns

Johnny Ridden's Gelgoog Cannon, often referred to as JR's Gelgoog, is a Bombardment mobile suit whose EX skill deals 403% ATK while bypassing defenses and stuns for 7 seconds. No other Bombardment MS can do this, as all the others are purely damage dealers. This unit can also use its EX skill early into the match given that it starts matches with its EX gauge halfway filled when battle begins.

JR's Gelgoog also has good Transcendent skills. At max Transcendent Lv., it benefits from a 25% accuracy buff, 25% crit rate buff, 50% more accuracy against stunned targets, and the 50% EX gauge restoration buff that we've already discussed. It benefits from up to 75% accuracy against stunned targets, but only when it's fully Transcended. At Transcendent Lv. 0, however, it has no accuracy buffs whatsoever, and no critical rate either.

Its regular skills are purely for beam damage. One of these is an 81% beam damage buff for the first 20 seconds of combat. The other involves a 48% buff granted when at or above certain HP thresholds, particularly at 100% and 80%. These skills that involve staying healthy are common among other bombardment units, and as such, they need more protection to be able to stay above those thresholds and avoid those big drops in damage.

Overall, Johnny Ridden's Gelgoog Cannon is a strong DPS threat with good utility in the form of stuns. It becomes hyper-accurate against stunned targets, so it'll pair well with other stunners such as the Qubeley, Purple Sazabi, and Hamma-Hamma.

Gets Critical Rate and Accuracy Buffs When Transcended

As mentioned above, JR's Gelgoog gets accuracy, crit rate, even more accuracy against stunned targets, and the ability to start matches with its EX gauge already halfway filled. At Transcendent Lv. 0, it has only its EX skill damage and stun going for it, as well as its 3 beam damage buffs.

Potential Unleashed also heavily affects this unit, since at Potential Lv. 0, its stun will only last for 3 seconds instead of 7, and its damage bypass only amounts to 269% of its ATK instead of the full 403%.

Johnny Ridden's C0037 version gives his unit a few useful perks in the form of a 128% Ranged Sense buff as well as a 20% Accuracy buff that lasts for 30 seconds from his first skill.

His second skill meanwhile gives him an additional 154% Ranged Sense buff versus stunned enemies and a stackable 51% Accuracy buff that lasts for 10 seconds every time he beats an enemy (though only stackable up to 2 times).

With Johnny Ridden on board, his Gelgoog Cannon becomes much more deadly in terms of both accuracy and damage.
