Even though Cooperative Battles and Raid Battles are PvE modes in Gundam UCE, they have to be handled rather differently because instead of fighting against a team of MSs, these modes usually pit your mobile suit team versus a single mobile suit.
Maximizing damage output becomes the most crucial aspect of picking which mobile suit to put in your team. So we picked mobile suits that excel in this regard.
![]() |
Deals the most damage possible to a single enemy and/or allows their allies to do the same. If you are intent on doing Coop Battles and Raid Battles, these mobile suits are a must-have for every run. |
---|---|
![]() |
Useful in both Coop Battle and Raid Battle because of the damage they deal and their utility. They will certainly be welcome additions to your team. |
![]() |
Still good to have in your Coop Battle or Raid Battle teams as they offer good damage and utility or can serve as alternatives to higher-tiered mobile suits. |
![]() |
Useful like A-tiered mobile suits in Coop Battle and Raid Battle, but have niche roles compared to those MSs. |
![]() |
Included in the tier list since they have niche uses in Coop Battle and Raid Battle, but offer little else outside of their role. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • An incredibly powerful Support that increases the entire team's crit rate and critical ATK. Because crits are extremely powerful right now, Ez8 has become the best support for almost all game modes, including Cooperative Battles. |
![]() | • Its consistent crazy high damage paired with its life-stealing capabilities make this one of the best DPS carries for Cooperative Battles and Raid Battles, regardless of mission type. Its lifesteal also allows it to be an off-tank, or even the main tank when your team is already very strong. |
![]() | • The best DPS unit for all game modes, and Coop battle is included. Good damage on its own but even more damage when paired alongside the Gundam Ez8. It can top the damage rankings even in Cooperative Battles against Green-type enemies. |
![]() | • Boasts high beam damage, Bullseye and high accuracy, and the ability to buff all Blue-type allies including itself. Excellent alongside Blue-type heavy hitters like the Zeong and the S Gundam. |
![]() | • A crit-based Bombardment unit, the HMT boasts similar damage output to an Ez8-enhanced Bombardment unit. An extremely powerful unit that can reach ridiculously high DPS in Cooperative Battles. |
![]() | • The Awakened Magna Martell might just be the best Cooperative/Raid Battle unit in the game right now. It boasts very high damage, the most potent damage taken debuffs in the entire game, and when fully Transcended, it gets Absolute Evade for the remainder of the match once its HP falls below 50% HP. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • Has consistently been one of the strongest DPS units since launch. While it has fallen off before, it's become quite strong again thanks to the crit rework. Especially strong alongside the Gundam Ez8. |
![]() | • One of the units with the highest DPS in the game, the Zeta Gundam will shred through any and all MSs. It’s on par with the Yellow Sazabi in terms of damage, but it’s slightly worse for Coop/Raid battles because of its lack of defenses. An SS-tier pick alongside strong MSs that can last long, but it can’t survive for long once its allies go down, making it an inferior borrowed unit. |
![]() | • The Phenex’s single-target debuff allows its entire team to deal significantly more damage with their weapons. It’ll deal a respectable amount of damage by itself too, but don’t expect it to be quite on par with the top DPS units for co-op game modes. A staple support MS for Cooperative and Raid Battles against all MS types. It used to be the best single target debuffer in the game, though it's been overtaken by the Magna Martell (Awakened) |
![]() | • An attacker that relies on making critical attacks and one of the best Green-type DPS options in the game. Especially strong for Blue-type Coop Quest, but will deal big damage in most situations, except against Red-types. |
![]() | • A potent MS very similar to the Sazabi in the sense that they’re both lifestealing bruisers who deal heavy damage. Inflicts Jamming status effect each time it deals damage, which gives the opponent a chance to hit for just 1 damage instead of the full amount, increasing the entire team’s survivability. Its Yellow type means it has no type disadvantages, making it good in all quest types, but especially in the Purple Cooperative Quest. |
![]() | • A very powerful EX looper, the Gottrlatan is capable of dealing some of the biggest damage in the game, though you'll need it at high Potential Lv. given its reliance on using its EX Skill. |
![]() | • The Green Nu not only deals great amounts of damage, but it's also the best healer in the game. A solid healer/DPS hybrid that contributes to the team's damage output while keeping its allies topped up and healthy. |
![]() | • Todesritter is generally an alright unit for Coop, though it's extremely powerful against some Coop stages against Newtype Machines. Its high crit damage, devastating EX skill, and extremely high damage cap make it a danger to any and all Newtype Machines, including the ones you can fight in Coop Battles. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • While the Nu Gundam has respectable firepower, it’s quite modest in that department compared to the heavy hitters of this game mode. However, what it lacks in damage, it makes up for with its ability to heal all its allies, improving their survivability and allowing them to fight for longer. Moreover, because Red-type MSs lack powerful DPS threats, it is already among the strongest Red-type DPS units in the game. |
![]() | • The Sazabi won’t top the damage charts, but its 60% beam damage debuff and blue-type buffing make it great to bring along on Red-type Cooperative quests alongside MSs like the S Gundam and the FAUC. |
![]() | • Another bombardment DPS unit the ZZ Gundam can deal huge damage from far away. However, it needs to be above the 90% HP threshold to deal as much damage as it can. It loses its big damage buffs when its HP hits below 80%. That said, if you can surround the ZZ Gundam with durable MSs and a healer, it could carry your team’s damage load. Otherwise, it’ll lose a big part of its power early on, when it inevitably falls below 80% max HP. Great in Blue-type Cooperative Quests. |
![]() | • Johnny Ridden earns a spot here thanks to it having crit rate built into its kit through its Transcendent Skills. When paired alongside the Ez8, it becomes a DPS machine. It also has a strong DEF bypass EX skill that also stuns for a good amount, though this comes secondary to its crit-enhanced regular attacks. |
![]() | • Can greatly increase the entire team’s damage output against Gundam-Type mobile suits, a unit category that 6 of all 8 Cooperative Battle opponents fall under. A very potent support for Coop game modes, but useless in a few. |
![]() | • If you don’t have a Phenex, the Alex will do well in a pinch for the exact same role. Both these units’ EX skills are more or less the same debuff, albeit Alex’s is 10% less potent and the Phenex is just overall a more powerful MS. |
![]() | • Just like the Alex, Cima's Gelgoog is a Phenex substitute. This unit's debuff is just as potent as Alex', which is 10% less potent than the Phenex's. |
![]() | • Baund Doc is an all-around unit that deals huge damage against targets with Unavoidable, while also being able to inflict that same debuff by itself. Because Cooperative and Raid Battles are only against one enemy unit, the Baund Doc has an easier time keeping this debuff active and continuing to deal big damage. |
![]() | • The FAZZ is an Armored unit that earns a spot on this list mainly for it being able to buff Blue-type allies while being a capable tank. It's especially useful when you aren't strong enough to complete Cooperative Battles on your own without a tank, so when using the FAZZ, you tick off the need for both a Blue-type buffer and a tank. |
![]() | • The Zanneck is another straightforward damage-oriented mobile suit with 3 ranged weapons, damage buffs, and some accuracy mixed in as well. It also has a single-target Sustained Damage debuff that deals 222% of its ATK Damage Every 5 seconds, which is nice to have against a single enemy unit. A solid DPS option for Cooperative and Raid Battles. |
![]() | • A straightforward damage-oriented unit, this mobile suit poses a problem when above 50% HP thanks to the numerous buffs it benefits from. As long as you can keep it healthy, which is easy to do in Coop Quests, it'll go ham. Bonus points for its evasion as this can help it take 0 damage instead of getting chunked by an attack. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • One of the strongest Purple-type MSs capable of reaching huge amounts of DPS against yellow-types, the Sisquiede is a powerful Sniper that can rain down huge damage from far away. Good for all Cooperative Quest types, but great in Yellow-Type Coop Quests. |
![]() | • An accurate long-range fighter. The Gundam GP04 can deal big damage from far away accurately, though it’s quite modest in the damage department, having only around the same damage output as something like the Nu Gundam. A good option for Green-type Coop Quests. One thing that separates this unit from other DPS units is its ability to inflict projectile damage taken debuff on a single targeted enemy unit when fully Transcended, though not a lot of meta units use this damage type. |
![]() | • The Full Armor Unicorn Gundam is on par defensively with some Armored units in the game, but it’s also capable of dealing huge damage. Its defenses and healing allow it to stay in the match long, while dealing huge amounts of damage itself and increasing the beam damage all allies do. A decent choice for Blue-type MSs to use and borrow, especially for Red-type Coop Quests. However, it noticeably performs worse than the higher-tiered Blue-type units. |
![]() | • A supportive MS that can stun opponents for 7 seconds, and more importantly, increase all allies’ damage by 26% when it uses its EX skill. Its damage output is quite weak, but its utility and supportive features make it a valuable member of your Coop team. |
![]() | • The Purple Sazabi boasts the same damage buffs as its Yellow-type counterpart, though its weapons aren't as good, and it doesn't benefit from lifesteal either. In exchange, it stuns with each attack, and stuns for a longer duration with its EX Skill. A very good DPS option, though it isn't as potent as something like an Ez8-enhanced meta Bombardment unit. |
![]() | • The Gedlav is a decent DPS option. Like many other Bombardment units, it is a solid and reliable backline DPS threat. Excellent when paired alongside the Ez8. |
![]() | • The FAUC NT-D deals heavy damage with its multi-hit attacks and its AoE EX Skill. It's similar to the Zeong, though its self-inflicted -200% crit rate debuff really hurts its value. If you have an Ez8, you'll surely be running that in your Cooperative Battles, and it hurts knowing that one of your units cannot benefit from those valuable buffs at all. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() | • The Psycho Zaku a decent Red-type DPS for Cooperative Quests. It deals slightly more than the GP04 and the Nu, and is strong even without activating the damage buffs it gets from its allies dying. An excellent MS for Blue-type Coop Quests, especially if you amp it up with an Ez8. |
![]() | • Char's Gelgoog is a Close Combat unit that improves the damage cap and melee damage of Raid and Close Combat units. However, the likelihood of you running plenty of these units in your team is slim, and that's pretty much the only reason you should field in Char's Gelgoog. |
![]() | • The Red Zeta is an excellent mobile suit for Green-type Coop Quests and Raid Battles. However, it is only in C-tier since it's subpar against other types, and outright terrible against Blue-type units. |
Mobile Suit | Tier Placement Reasoning |
---|---|
![]() |
• Improves the power of Blue-type MSs in the game like the Zeong, S Gundam, FAUC, and Sazabi. Strong in multi-blue MS teams for Red-type Cooperative Quests. |
![]() |
• Improves the damage of Psycho-Frame Type MSs like the Sazabi variants, Unicorn Gundam variants, Nu Gundam variants, and more. Bring the Yellow Unicorn along if you have one of the DPS units listed above. |
![]() |
• Strengthens the damage of Green-type MSs like the ZZ Gundam, Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility, and the Nightingale. Great alongside these carries on Blue-type Cooperative Quests. |
![]() |
• Improves the damage of Red-type MSs like the Magna Martell (Awakened), HMT Gundam, FAUC NT-D, and more. Bring this MS along if you want to increase the damage output of those MSs. |
![]() |
• Improves the damage of Gundam-Type allies like S Gundam, all the Unicorn and Nu Gundam variants, and more. If your main DPS carry falls under this unit category tag, consider bringing along the Engage Gundam Booster to improve their damage output. |
![]() |
• Improves the damage of Gundam-Type allies like S Gundam, all the Unicorn and Nu Gundam variants, and more. If your main DPS carry falls under this unit category tag, consider bringing along the Engage Gundam Booster to improve their damage output. |
![]() |
• Strengthens the damage of Purple-Type allies like the Sisquiede Titans Color, Zeta HML, and Big Gun Zaku. Especially useful when buffing multiple Purple-type MSs at a time, ideally in Yellow-type Cooperative Quests. |
![]() |
• Increases the damage of all allies by 22% when it uses its EX skill, but Newtype Machine allies gain even more damage buffs. A potent support, especially alongside Newtype Machines like the ZZ Gundam and the Dag Doll. |
During the early and mid-game, you'll be relying mainly on your friends and clanmates' mobile suits to carry your team's offensive load given that your own units likely do not have too much investments in them and thus, low damage output. That said, you'll want to focus on improving your borrowed carries' damage output. To do that, you'll need to use these support units that grant damage buffs to your chosen carries.
