Anti-Psycho-Frame Type Mobile Suit

The Narrative Gundam C-Packs is a mobile suit best known for its ability to inflict the Jamming status effect on Psycho-Frame Type enemies for an extremely long duration, while being very effective against Jammed enemy units.

Its EX skill deals 578% ATK damage to a targeted enemy unit, while also Jamming it for 20 seconds if it's a Psycho-Frame Type unit. Being Jammed for 20 seconds is a very long time. Even though not all attacks from Jammed targets are guaranteed to get cushioned, this debuff will really hurt a mobile suit's offensive value. This EX skill also grants a 50% beam damage buff to itself for 20 seconds, and can be cast early into the match when fully Transcended.

Speaking of Transcendence, it gets 25% accuracy, 36% beam damage, and a 50% EX gauge restoration buff granted when the battle begins. You'll want this MS fully Transcended to benefit from that EX gauge restoration buff, jam a target early, and buff itself for more damage.

Great Against Jammed Targets

The Narrative Gundam benefits from 48% max HP buff, 48% damage taken down, and 48% more beam damage. Against Jammed targets, this mobile suit deals 120% more beam damage while taking 99% less damage. This means that each attack from Jammed target that won't deal just 1 damage will get cushioned. Additionally, when you add all its beam damage buffs together, it deals a maximum of 254% more beam damage to Jammed targets, which is a huge amount.

Another thing that's great about this unit is that it's the first mobile suit to be released on the Global servers to come with a 400000 damage cap increase for all its weapons. It's capable of dealing massive amounts of damage, but it's quite situational in the sense that it needs to be attacking Jammed targets to deal big damage.

Unfortunately, the Narrative Gundam C-Packs can only Jam Psycho-Frame Type units with its EX skill. It can, however, benefit greatly from having other units that can inflict Jamming themselves, like the Dag Doll.

Needs Transcendent and Potential Lv. 5

We've already discussed why it's important to get this MS to Transcendent Lv. 5. However, getting it to Potential Lv. 5 is very important as well. The Narrative Gundam's damage, buff potency, and debuff duration from its EX skill are all tied to Potential Unleashed. This mobile suit's EX skill, after the first cast, can be fired off at around every 22 seconds, though it can consistently cast it at 20 seconds when enhanced. It can keep looping its EX Skill and perma-Jam an enemy Psycho-Frame Type unit, but only when it's at Potential Lv. 5 so that its EX skill Jams for 20 seconds.

Overall, the Narrative Gundam C-Packs is a pretty decent niche unit. It's a good counter to Psycho-Frame Type units like the variants of the Unicorn, Banshee, Nu, and Sazabi, and is excellent when paired alongside the Dag Doll. It's more suitable for PvE stages alongside other units that can inflict Jamming on enemies for it, but it finds some value as a counter to Psycho-Frame Type mobile suits. It's also great in Coop Quests, though again, you'll need someone else to inflict Jamming if the enemy unit isn't a Psycho-Frame Type MS.
