Force Decrypting World Boss Chests will not drop SSR Weapons.
It will only give out experience, some low-leveled vehicle upgrade parts and some ingredients.
The Type III Chip required for perfect deciphering can usually only be obtained three times a week, so think of it as being similar to pulling from the gacha.
Perfect Decipher or Forced Decipher?
While there is no official announcement, it is believed that the drop rate of SSR weapons and Matrices when using a perfect decryption is around 1% at most.
For reference, the probability of pulling an SSR weapon from using 10 Gold Nucleus at the same time is 0.75%, while pulling an SSR Matrix from 10 tries is around 1.7%.
Weapon and Matrix Gacha Pull Rates
Normally, players can only switch channels every 30 minutes, preventing them from repeatedly jumping channels to defeat World Bosses. However, forming a team will allow players to get around this restriction, and also improves the efficiency of beating the bosses.
NOTE: Getting the rewards from World Bosses requires Type III Chips, which are only obtainable as Weekly Rewards. Even if you farm World Bosses, you're limited in your number of how many rewards you can get a week.
Example with a 4-Person Team |
---|
|
This trick works best for 4-person teams, since the 30 minute restriction for channel-hopping will be divided by your number of members.
You'll also have an easier time farming multiple World Bosses in general if you're on a team where everyone is on the same page, rather than jumping into random channels without knowing how many players will be at the boss.
If you don't already have a group of other players to work with, try using the in-game Chat to recruit other players in the same server, or message your Crew if you've joined one.
A quick way to join a team that's fighting World Bosses is to click on the icon of someone in the chat who is recruiting players with a World Boss name and channel number. If the middle option says Join Team, request to join.
If you are accepted, use the Summon option to warp to the channel and location of that player! This is great in itself, but also will put you on a Team which will hopefully continue to farm World Bosses after the current fight is over.
The World tab of the in-game Chat is constantly receiving messages of the style “ch## frost bot”, giving the number of a channel and the name of a World Boss. Open up this tab and keep a lookout for the World Boss you're targeting.
When you've found a message showing the World Boss you're trying to farm, have the leader of your team switch to that channel.
Using the Summon feature to go to the location of the leader of your team will allow everyone to move to that channel without getting hit with a cap for switching.
After you've done what you came to do, the leader should click the icon of another member of the team and select Transfer. This will make the other member of the team the leader.
Since the new leader has no cap on switching channels, they can immediately jump to another channel, and all other members can use Summon to follow them. The other members can then repeat this, allowing for a maximum of 4 channel switches every 30 minutes.
In practice, the process of traveling to the location of a World Boss and beating it can take some time, so even if you're limited to switching channels every 10 or 15 minutes, you won't feel the decrease in efficiency too hard. If you don't quite have a group of 4, don't worry as this technique is still doable.
After a World Boss has been defeated, it will respawn exactly one hour after it has been defeated, so waiting around for it to come back is not recommended.
Instead of waiting for a World Boss to respawn, the best method is to change channels to one where the World Boss is already spawned. Check the World tab of the in-game Chat to see where others are calling out the locations of World Bosses.
How to Change Channels
Each region of Aesperia has at least 1 World Boss, except for the middle region, the Tower of Fantasy, which has none. They have extremely high HP and attack power, and are difficult to beat even with a Team of 4.
As they exist in the overworld, there is no limit to how many players can fight them at once, so the more, the merrier.
World Bosses always appear in the same location, but it takes them 1 hour to respawn.
World Bosses exist separately in each channel, so by switching to a different channel, you can find different World Bosses spawned.
Very rare vehicle parts used for maintenance and levelling up can be gotten by defeating world bosses. Drops from world bosses are higher than when getting then from trash bins or through password chests.
List of All Vehicle Upgrade Materials and Locations
It's still worth it to farm world bosses even if you don't have gold Type III Chips, as forcing the chest open will earn you 100 Support Points each time.
Support Points How to Get and How to Use
There is 2 type of reward from world boss, the first reward is the item that dropped when the boss died, and the second reward is from the chest that require type III chip.

You are not required to use a type 3 chip for rewards. You can force it and still get some rewards. Also you don’t need to have a full team, albeit may be helpful for additional buffs but teamplay buffs applies even if you’re the only 1 in a team. I wonder if you can get an ssr without using a type 3 chip
