Phantasia is triggered with a perfect dodge and slows down time while fully charging your weapon's Omnium charge in Tower of Fantasy. Read on to learn how to properly execute a perfect dodge to trigger Phantasia.

How to Trigger Phantasia

Perform a Perfect Dodge

A Perfect Dodge is a technique that dodges an enemy attack and triggers Phantasia when done successfully. Phantasia slows down time in battle, and also fills up your weapons' Omnium Gauges.

This enables you to perform a series of attacks while enemies are immobilized and gives a tremendous advantage in battle. The cooldown time for Phantasia is 15 seconds, so you won't be able to trigger Phantasia immediately after an active one.

Steps for a Perfect Dodge
1 Engage in battle with one or more enemies
2 Wait for the enemy's attack. Watch closely to get the timing right before the attack lands on you.
3 Tap the dodge button to dash out of the way and use the directional arrows to move in a specific direction.

Tips for Dodging Attacks

Don't Waste Stamina

It is tempting to keep tapping on the Dodge Button when trying to execute a Perfect Dodge. However, players can only do a limited number of dashes before the Dodge Meter runs out.

A Dodge Cooldown notice will pop up when you are unable to dash, and this leaves you vulnerable to enemy attacks. Keep track of your Dodge Meter and only use your dashes when necessary.

Timing is Important

The timing of when to dodge during an enemy attack is essential to gain the upperhand in battle. Though subtle, you will know the timing is right when you see a red flash appear on the enemy just before they attack.

Dodging the attack too early or too late will not only risk you getting hit by an attack, but also does not trigger Phantasia.

Dodge Direction Matters

Dodge Direction

A Perfect Dodge will activate Phantasia if you correctly dodge an attack. The direction of your dodge also determines if you can fully avoid an attack.

If an enemy attacks vertically, you must dodge horizontally to perform a Perfect Dodge, and vice versa for a horizontal attack.

Phantasia has a Cooldown

Phantasia Cooldown Indicator
If you ever wonder why Phantasia sometimes doesn't trigger even after a Perfect Dodge, it's because it has a cooldown timer.

Once you trigger Phantasia, it cannot be triggered again for another 23 seconds. The indicator for this cooldown can be found right above your health bar.

What is Phantasia

Slows Down Time

When triggered, Phantasia slows down enemies within an area surrounding your character. This is the perfect chance for you to go all out with your attacks! Only those inside the Phantasia radius are affected.

This applies to enemies that were already within your immediate surroundings before Phantasia is triggered, and to those that enter the radius after Phantasia is triggered.

Charges Weapon's Omnium Gauge

Phantasia also charges your weapon's Omnium Gauge and grants an opening for you to perform a powerful Combination Attack towards the enemy. Take advantage of this feature to deal extra damage!

Your weapon's Omnium Gauge is the white outline of your weapon icon on the lower right corner of the screen. It is fully charged and ready to use when it is blinking.
