Tower of Fantasy focuses more on freedom of movement and intense combat allowing players to string together a series of combos both on the ground and in the air along side weapon skills and perfect dodging. Genshin leans deeper into its elemental system and swaping characters in order to trigger certain reactions while Tower of Fantasy's weapon swaps allow you to further extend combos or take advantage of debuffs and weapon affects.
Aerial Attacks and Combos
A distinguishing combat feature from Genshin Impact are Tower of Fantasy's aerial attacks. Most weapons even have a launch attack that can send enemies skyward allowing the player to continue their combo string in the air. Aerial attacks do consume stamina unlike ground attacks so they are not indefinite but juggling multiple enemies in Tower of Fantasy is entirely possible.
Perfect Dodging & Bullet Time
A staple of many action games, Pefect dodging is another key difference between Tower of Fantasy and Genshin Impact's combat system. Dodging an incoming attack at the right time will slow not only slow down time in a large AoE around the enemy allowing for more combo chances but will charge up your reserve weapon's Quick Time Events (Ultimates) for immediate use. In Genshin its more common for defensive characters to have a skill or Burst that offers a shield or healing to mitigate damage along side your standard dodge.

Exploration Gives Better Gacha Currency Rewards
Tower of Fantasy's exploration gives better rewards than in Genshin Impact. It is because you can get a single roll when getting specific treasure chests in Tower of Fantasy. Genshin's treasure chests only give 2 to 30 Primogems, depending on the rarity of the treasure chest which is hardly enough to do a single pull.

In Genshin Impact, the only means for long-distance travel are the Wing Glider and the Teleport Waypoints. Tower of Fantasy offers tons of ways to travel and explore in the open world, like the motorcycle mount, jetpack, and more!

Character Customization has a huge difference between Tower of Fantasy and Genshin Impact.
You have more freedom to change the characters' appearance in Tower of Fantasy, while Genshin Impact only gives you different Wing Glider and skins, which are not yet available for most of the characters. Some of the exclusive skins in Genshin also need you to swipe your card and pay real money to obtain them.

What makes Tower of Fantasy better than Genshin when it comes to its Multiplayer feature is that it has a Guild System, the number of players in co-op mode can exceed four, and the in-depth roles each player can have.
Although both are fun on their own, Tower of Fantasy has an overwhelming number of features that players may find more enjoyable.

While both games are somewhat similar-looking in some places, they still have huge differences in their environment and story setting. Tower of Fantasy is more of a sci-fi-themed game, and Genshin is leaning more on the fantasy side.
Main Storyline Comparison
Tower of Fantasy's story revolves around the two factions, Heirs of Aida and Hykros, in the post-apocalyptic era of Planet AIDA. Both groups have their own goal, which is about the existence of Omnium, that causes them to clash, thus creating more chaos and turmoil on the planet.
Genshin's main story focuses on finding the traveler's twin in the world of Teyvat after they get separated while battling an unknown god. The traveler goes around each nation to search for the twin while solving the nation's problems, together with its trusty emergency foo— companion named Paimon.
Both games have different story settings, but both have a rich and interesting storyline that would probably take years before you reach their ending.
