Meryl Overview

Meryl Merits

Powerful Knockback and Shield Break

Meryl Shield Break

Meryl's Rosy Edge weapon has a high Shatter value of 12, making it effective against shielded enemies. The greatsword's knockback effect is also very powerful, even just from Meryl's normal attacks.

This makes Meryl a great tank character that is high in offense. However, her movements are slow due to her large swings, making it difficult to defeat boss battles.

Acquire an Ice Shield and Increase Defense

Meryl Ice Shield.PNG

Raising Rosy Edge to 3 stars of advancement grants Meryl an Ice Shield upon switching to the weapon. This shield is equal to 10% of MaxHP and has a cooldown of 20 seconds, while the Ice Shield lasts up to 10 seconds.

Tank World Bosses with Dual Shieldbreakers

The general strategy with this build is to deal as much shield damage to the World Boss' shields with Rosy Edge, using basic normal attacks and its Skill Attack Blizzard to deal as much shield damage. Once charge is built, swap to Molten Shield V2 to activate the Seething Rage Discharge to place a taunt on the boss.

Switch to Negating Cube to unlueash Ominium Wave to remove debuffs and stack it with the Omnium Shield Skill Attack to provide damage immunity to your and your allies for 3 seconds.

Meryl 5 Star: Get Meryl to at least 5 Star Advancement to increase shatter rate and self-healing, as well as gain an Ice Shield passive when switching to the weapon for more sustain.

Deal Burst Damage with the Ice Shell Debuff

This build focuses on the Ice Element to consistently inflict the Ice Shell debuff on the opponent. Start each match by using charged and dodge attacks with Rosy Edge to apply the Ice Shell Debuff on your enemy, quickly swapping to Absolute Zero to follow up with an attack to shatter the Ice Shell for burst damage.

Both Rosy Edge and Molten Shield V2 are relatively slow weapons. To deal as much damage as possible and remain aggressive, focus on using dodge attacks and swapping between the two weapons when charge is full to unleash their powerful Discharge attacks.
