How Do Simulacra, Characters, and Weapons Work?

Simulacra Characters Are Unlocked Alongside Their Weapon

Characters, known as Simulacra in Tower of Fantasy, are unlocked alongside their signature weapon. For example, if you have obtained Meryl from the Weapons Galore banner, you will also receive her weapon, the Rosy Edge.

All Simulacra Can Use Any Weapon

The simulacra character you unlock in the gacha primarly act as skins for the player character and are not restricted to a weapon type. This means you can have Echo as the player character but have Ene's Pummeler as one of the weapons equipped.

Are Simulacra Just Skins?

Simulacra has no other use in the game other than being a skin. Select a character in the Simulacra menu and press the Activate button to use them. You can unlock other Simulacra outfits by advancing their respective weapons to 3 stars.

Weapon Stats and Skills Explanation

Combat Score (CS)

You can determine a weapon's current power level by looking at the CS or Combat Score below their names. The higher the CS is, the more powerful the weapon. You can increase a weapons CS by leveling it up and equipping it with Matrices and upgrading them.

Weapons' CS adds up to your total CS, allowing you to unlock and power up your Suppressors which gives you the ability to scour through high-level areas.

Charge Stat

Charge stat is a weapon stat that specifies how a weapon can obtain weapon charge when attacking. You can earn more weapon charges in a short time by using weapons with high Charge stat. It will also allow you to do a Discharge skill when you switch weapons while fully charged.

Shatter Stat

Shatter is one of the main stat of a weapon that determines their strength of destroying the enemies' shield. The higher the value, the faster it can break a shield. Having one weapon with a high Shatter stat will help you defeat elites and bosses faster, as they usually have them.

Shatter stat is usually a fixed stat, but there are some weapons that can increase their Shatter once they reach a specific number of stars.

Weapon Skill

All weapons have a skill that is usually unique to them. These skills have a cooldown, so be mindful of the situations when to use them. You can use a weapon skill by tapping on the icon surrounded by your weapons, located at the bottom corner of the screen.

Discharge Skill

Discharge is another skill of weapons that allows them to heal, deal damage, or fortify themselves in battle. Discharge only happens when you have accumulated enough energy through attacking or Phantasia and switches to a different weapon.

Unlike weapon skills, Discharge doesn't have a cooldown and can be spammed as long as you meet the condition to activate it. The effects are also unique to each weapon type, so keep your weapon rotation in mind to maximize the use of each weapon!
