Using a Forced Decipher on the World Boss Chest will give the player a smaller amount of EXP, as well as some ore.
Sobek will also drop Vehicle Upgrade Materials that can range from common to legendary. You do not need to open the boss chest to get the Vehicle Upgrade Materials. However, opening the world boss chest will also give you more Vehicle Upgrade Materials.
How to beat Sobek | |
---|---|
|
Since Sobek is weak to Volt weapons, players should pick between SSR weapons like Crow, Nemesis, or Samir, and SR weapons like Echo or Pepper.
All Volt Weapons
Sobek's attacks can be hard to dodge. It has an Ice Cannon that freezes you from any range. For some reason, its Body Slam attack can hit you from long distances as well.
Finally, with its Burrow move, players will find themselves constantly running around, trying to dodge its attacks. Players can try staying up in the air for a while using the Jetpack, instead of constantly moving around.

General Tips | |
---|---|
|
There's almost no way of beating any World Boss alone. Invite friends or other players through the World chat. There should at least be 4-6 players battling Robarg.
Make sure at least one of the players on your team is a healer.
How to Add Friends
The most troublesome part about fighting boss enemies is breaking their shield. Use weapons with great shatter abilities like Huma or Meryl to break its shields easily.
World bosses deal a lot of damage with each attack so players should be prepared with food to heal themselves.

Sobek Attack Patterns | |
---|---|
|
The Tail Spin is Sobek's only short-range physical attack. It encompasses an entire circle so it's best to dodge backward. Getting hit by this will stagger you.
Sobek's Ice Cannon can be easily dodged but once they hit, it will freeze you. Each time Sobek uses this move it will fire three at a time, twice.
Be sure not to get hit as Sobek usually follows this up with a Charge or Body Slam.
Body Slam is Sobek's almost unavoidable move. Its body slam can hit you from far away and even while you're up in the air.
It is, however, the easiest attack to do a perfect dodge against. Just before its body falls, dodge to trigger Phantasia.
How to Trigger Phantasia
Like most bosses, Sobek has a charge attack. This charge attack, however, is the deadliest among world bosses.
Once hit, players will be sent flying and Sobek will keep charging at you for continued damage.
Sobek's burrow attack is its only wide-range AoE move. As its name suggests Sobek initiates its attack by burrowing into the ground.
Once on the ground, Sobek will damage all players still inside the circle from all directions.
Finally, Sobek will charge out from underground to hit players. This final attack is the easiest to avoid. Just running around will let you dodge it.
After a World Boss has been defeated, it will respawn exactly one hour after it has been defeated, so waiting around for it to come back is not recommended.
