Description

"Allegedly, Barbarossa is the gatekeeper of the bastion at Dawn Frontier. It sleeps during the day and roams the caves nearby at night, searching for prey suiting its preference. Humans are its priority target, playing with them until it gets tired of the game before dragging them back to the lair for an enjoyable meal"

Dodge when Barabarossa's eyes flash red

A telltale sign of Barbarossa attacking is when its eyes flash. By using that as a reference point players will be able to trigger Phantasia easier.

General Boss Tips

General Tips

Invite friends

Tower of Fantasy - Team
There's almost no way of beating any World Boss alone. Invite friends or other players through the World chat. There should at least be 4-6 players battling Barbarossa.

Make sure at least one of the players on your team is a healer.
How to Add Friends

Use heavy weapons to break shields

The most troublesome part about fighting boss enemies is breaking their shield. Use weapons with great shatter abilities like Huma or Meryl to break its shields easily.

Prepare food beforehand

Tower of Fantasy - Creation Cooking Option

World bosses deal a lot of damage with each attack so players should be prepared with food to heal themselves.

Barbarossa Attack Patterns

Barbarossa Attack Patterns

All Moves

Longe Range Claws

Barbarossa's Long Range Claws are easy to dodge but hard to trigger Phantasia. This attack can be considered a feint as its eyes flash red but does not attack right away. At this point, you can dodge.

Be sure to dodge sideways as the claws travel forward and will still hit you when you dodge in the same direction.

Lunges

Barbarossa's Lunge usually starts when he lowers his body. It will lunge once, get up, then lunge again, twice in succession. Getting hit by this attack will stagger you.

Paw Swipe

Barbarossa's paw swipe is its most basic attack. Short-range weapon users will most likely get hit by this. Its eyes will flash right before it tries to attack you.

Thrashing

Thrashing is Barbarossa's most dangerous technique. The attack starts with Barbarossa howling. It will then jump and land on its back. The game will show you the area of effect where it will land. It is best to avoid that.

What to do if Barbarossa is Not Spawning?

Wait for an Hour

After a World Boss has been defeated, it will respawn exactly one hour after it has been defeated, so waiting around for it to come back is not recommended.
