Bygone Phantasm is a dungeon with endless floor where you clear each level to get to the next one. There will be weapons maxed out and additional bonus damage each week, helping you clear out all the levels faster.

Difficulty Increases on Each Floor

Moving up on each floor increases difficulty, so make sure to upgrade your weapons and equipment whenever you can to handle higher floor levels. You will also encounter a boss on every 10th floor, which makes upgrading more of a requirement to ascend onto more levels.

You can get upgrade materials for your Armor through Bygone Phantasm. You can get them through weekly rankings and by reaching certain floor levels.

Through the Adventure Menu

Click on the Swords icon above the screen to get to the Adventure menu and go to the Challenge tab.

Select the Bygone Phantasm. Continue where you left off or go try the same level.

Clear the floor and move to the next one. You can also leave and return for later if you want.

Upgrade Weapons, Armors, and Matrices

You should upgrade your Weapons, Armors and Matrices once you pass floors 20 and above, as there will be tougher enemies and clearing the floor on time will be difficult. You can get upgrade materials by progressing through the story and doing exploration.

You can also take on other dungeons for items and upgrade materials, but most of them requires Vitality, which is a scarce resource in the game.

Ideally, you should get a balanced set up where you can heal, add defense to your stats, and a good DPS weapon to defeat the enemies. Doing all DPS, Support, or Tank weapon comps is still doable but not recommended, as you would lack something the others have.

If you're unsure what weapon combination works best for you, you can try using the weapons with bonus damage or stat for the day as your starting point. Mix and match it and test it out a couple of times until you get the gist of how your weapon comp works.

You can get Dark Crystals after reaching specific floors in Bygone Phantasm. However, you can only receive them as a one-time reward and they won't get affected by the weekly reset.
