List of Contents
The fastest way to get Black Nucleus is to explore areas, loot chests, and solve puzzles. You can usually find Black Nucleus inside purple chests and simple open-world puzzles.
All Overworld Puzzles (Exploration Points)
You will be rewarded with a Black Nucleus for finishing up each task on Daily Bounty. There are total of 4 Bounty quests each day, which replenish once the Server Reset hits. You can check and track them from the Adventure tab (Sword Icon) from the upper right part of the screen.
There will be times that Claire's Dream Machine gives Black Nuclei as rewards. You will need to finish all the tasks within certain time limit to get the rewards. Unfortunately, you won't be able to see the rewards until you get inside.
Claire's Dream Machine
There are a few events that hand out Black Nucleus as rewards, like the Starpath Navigation Event. You can check the events and see which ones give Black Nucleus through the Rewards Screen (Giftbox Icon), which you can find on the top-right part of the screen.
Black Nucleus is one of the Gacha Currency in the game, which you can only use in the Black Nucleus Cache Banner. The Banner doesn't have any pity system, meaning getting an SR or SSR will be based on pure luck.
You will be able to get to the Banner by clicking through the Weapons Banner and on the Black Nucleus Cache on the lower left part of the screen.
Gacha Currency | Banner | Pity System |
---|---|---|
Black Nucleus | Black Nucleus Cache Banner | No Pity System |
Gold Nucleus | Gold Nucleus Cache Banner | Guaranteed SR on 10th Pull and guaranteed SSR on 80th Pull |
Red Nucleus | Limited-Time Banners |
The main difference between Gold and Black Nuclei Banners is their Pity System. You can get guaranteed rarity weapons on the Gold Nucleus Banner, while the Black Nucleus doesn't have any guaranteed rolls.
However, both Banners use the same list of characters and weapons you can get. It means you can still get an SSR on the Black Nucleus Banner even if its drop rates are low and there is no pity system.
Category | Differences | |
---|---|---|
Gold Nucleus | Black Nucleus | |
How to Get | Get using Dark Crystal, exploration, quests, and top-up | Obtainable through exploration, events, and quests only |

The Red Nucleus is the only Gacha Currency you can use in the limited character banner. The only way to get it in the game is to exchange Dark Crystals as of the moment. They might add it to the Advanced Rewards on the Battle Pass in the future, just like in the ToF CN version!
