Paptimus Scirocco Review

While Paptimus Scirocco might look like an appealing pilot due to his synergistic skillset, his skill requirements are deceptively difficult to work with. He is restricted to piloting Green-type mobile suits because two skill requirements rely on them. Among those mobile suits, only two possess the Rival Unit unit category he needs to properly function.

And none of them rely on evasion.

While a case can still be made for Nightingale, Paptimus Scirocco's paltry evasion boost and the former's nearly non-existent evasive capabilities makes that combination a flop.

Otherwise, Paptimus Scirocco is an incredibly powerful pilot who synergizes perfectly with The-O's skillset. Together, they are able to cement themselves in battle as steadfast walls that can take an incredible and extended beating. Plus, they aren't that bothered by their lack of accuracy due to The-O's EX Skill being able to inflict Unavoidable.

The The-O is a rather unique Armored-category mobile suit that uses evasion instead of pure bulk to make itself difficult to destroy. Evading attacks is essential for it to function, as its self-healing skill and beam damage buffs only activate when it does.

Paptimus Scirocco might not directly influence The-O's evasive capabilities, but he does increase its reaction and ranged firepower. That allows The-O to hit harder and defend against attacks better the more it is targeted by the enemy.
